Have a chain-link gate with a cross-bar welded in place. Weld eventually broke. Used this to clamp the end of the cross-bar in place. Holds tightly and is sturdy, only time will tell how long it lasts.

Junk
Tried to use for my dog fence broke in 30 seconds bolts do not hold and easily stripped. I would say this product is junk! Disappointed, wish I did not buy!

Pretty sturdy item so far.
I purchased the chain-link fence end rail clamp because my dog kennel roof did not fit my dog kennel. It did a good job holding the extra rail that needed to be held so far.
