Tool use, it can be argued, is the trait that sets humans apart from other animals on our planet. Sure, a monkey may use a stick to get ants from a mound, but I've never seen one use a socket set. My dad bought me a set of Craftsman tools when I was a teenager about 40 years ago. I still have 99% of those tools (pretty sure my brother walked off with my 9/16" socket.....hoping to get it back someday, but not holding my breath)...anyway....I bought the same for my 3 kids when they became teenagers (16 to be exact). I bought this set for my nephew for Christmas for the same reason. People need a good set of tools. This is that. You may think that no one will ever judge you if they come to your house, you ask them to fix something, and you hand them all your tools...which is a cigar box with 2 mismatched screwdrivers, a broken pair of scissors, 2 allen wrenches that came free with your ikea furniture, and a pink hammer your mom gave you....but if it was me....you would be wrong. I would judge you. Everyone should have a reasonable set of tools. This is that. Good value for the money.

I bought this at a whim because it was on sale, with no specific job in mind, but over the past year I have owned this I have used it so many times. I own a small 1,100 sq. ft. home, owned it for 5 years before I bought this tool set, and this set makes me feel like I can do most repairs around my house myself. The hammer comes in handy, measuring windows for curtains is easy now because I can always find the measuring tape, the drill bits are used about once a month for hanging pictures, hanging my dyson vacuum, etc. I'm a single woman living alone and this tool set it amazing, it makes me feel empowered to do things around my house by myself now and I love it. The only thing I bought separately to go with this set was a little pink drill and with that combo I do 99% of the things around my home with it. I even bought an extra set to give to my sister when she bought her home. This is my new housewarming gift to all my friends. It's amazing.

I bought this set for my daughter's new apartment because Craftsman makes quality, affordable products. Unfortunately, she wasn't even able to tighten her bicycle wheel because it doesn't come w/ metric sockets (or SAE equivalent size to 15mm or larger) or an extension, or even a crescent wrench. Pretty disappointed...

This kit has some solid variety. The items I was most pleased with included the self locking tape measure, high quality ratchet and sockets, pliers that are smaller than hoped for but have great teeth, and the spinner handle with its amazing comfy handle and quality shaft make it a perfect tool for any hex bits or hard to reach bolts. One thing that I absolutely do not enjoy is the size of the case, despite feeling fairly sturdy it is far too tall. I would have appreciated metric sockets as well, but that’s not too big an issue.

I used to live next to my mother and father so used his tools... now i moved further away and needed a little kit for basic around the house stuff. Very good quality for the price and has most of what you need for basic odd jobs. The hammer is a nice weight too. I was worried it would be too light or flimsy. Highly recommend for anybody who needs a little tool kit for the home, apartment, or to throw in the back of their vehicle

I got this for my daughter her first year in college (dorms). She loves it. It has all the basics and she doesn't have to borrow tools to put things together. This also worked great when she moved into her first apartment. It's the perfect size for someone just starting out.

I bought this for a 12 year old Great Nephew, that has expressed an interest with working with His hands, and Tools. In My opinion, it is a good "Starter Set" for Him. It is also good for the average person just to have around the house for some minor repairs. It appears to be well made, and durable. It should last a long time provided He takes care of it, which He shall soon get a lesson in. I am a Retired Mechanic, and definitely know the difference between Good Tools, and Junk. This set is no Junk. I won't know how He likes it until Christmas. But, I am sure that He will be thrilled. As time goes by, I will purchase some more Small Tool Sets for Him from Craftsman.

The tools are good quality for home projects, which will serve the purpose they are designed for. The case is heavy gauge plastic and will last a long time. Good value.

This is a good set. I've used this for more than 4 years now, the box still works well. My old cheap set was rusty and the box cannot close. This lasted way longer and it is not expensive.

O kit é de boa qualidade, com um martelo de bom material e bem pesado. A maleta de plástico reforçado segura todas as peças no lugar, em qualquer posição. As chaves de fenda e philips são ótimas, com cabo firme e anatômico. Os bits, chaves allen e soquetes também são muito bem feitos. O estilete é simples. Os problemas são a trena, que mede em polegadas apenas, e os soquetes, que também são em polegadas, e não têm muito uso no Brasil. Outro problema foi o funcionamento da chave catraca. A bolinha que prende o soquete não entra, impedindo o encaixe do soquete. Tem que fazer muita força para encaixar o soquete na chave, e depois para tirar tem que usar um alicate. Decepcionante para um produto de boa qualidade. Por isso tirei uma estrela da avaliação. Este kit funciona mais como um segundo jogo de ferramentas, para levar no carro em viagens, por exemplo.
