Klassische Kuche All Purpose Professional Kitchen Shears, 4mm Stainless Steel Blades, Medium Cherry Wood Grain Look

They cut up a whole chicken (which is what I got them for) and little else. So I took the whole chicken and was quartering it for Coq au Vin. Theses shears cut thru the bone EASILY. But could not cut the skin!? I had to saw back and forth to get them to cut the skin of the dang chicken.These are spring loaded (but I'll be darned if I know what wizardry they used to do that, cause you can't see the spring, and they look like a normal pair of scissors). Points for that.They look great. They clip is a nice plus and latches them closed just fine.If only they would cut rosemary stems, chicken skin, plastic sealed electronics boxes...you know the normal stuff.Sooo....I tighted the nut and now they don't open and close as smoothly (was a real nice action prior) but they cut...EVERYTHING. For the price they look great, and now, they work great.

Dull on arrival. Would not even cut paper, not even the front part of the blades. I guess that the other reviewers were fortunate to get a sharpened pair.I read the reviews, especially noting the different cutting zones. After I sharpened the shears, they would indeed cut paper easily. Cut through the chicken neck bone with some hand pressure, as did my other two shears mentioned soon.Tried them on a chicken, cutting out the backbone and then into several parts. Took effort to cut through the bones which it did but only the front inch or so would cut through the fatty skin. Very tedious to cut inch by inch.Compared them to my Oxo shears (more expensive) and my Messermeister (same price) shears, all on the same chicken. No problem with either of these other shears, with the Messermeister being the easiest to cut through the back bone and the skin effortlessly like cutting paper. (And it is not spring assisted like the Oxo and these shears are.)They are beautiful, feel good in the hand but became a bit slippery to hold once involved with the chicken.I really thought that these would be the best. Perhaps I got a lemon. Returning for refund.

Good name, good steel, good handles, nicely put together. I used them only for cutting jerky strips for my pets and the spring quit working and only about 6 months. I wasn't cutting bushes, I wasn't cutting metal, I was cutting chicken jerky. Completely dissatisfied and I won't be back! Now come on folk, what's the problem here??

One of my favorite kitchen purchases, and I've made a lot! These are weighty, thick, high-quality and good looking. They do have a wooden handle but it seems like a hardwood and I've not had any problems with it. Like all good cutlery, hand wash (it's easy!!!) and keep away from the dishwasher.

I loved using it. I use the poultry shears (#1 Authentic Klassische Kuche (TM) Heavy Duty) this past week in preparing (quartering) 17 kosher chickens for the oven and it worked with ease and was very sharp to the end of my chores.

first time use and it poked a hole to my right hand palm. The metal clip did it. When it's in open position it'll just poke anything in its way. Buyer be aware

Klassische Kuche knife it exactly what I was looking for. It is easy to hold in my hand . The safety lapsed make storage safe. The handle is quite attractive. Would recommend

the unit seems to need to be sharpened as per what others have said. For the money that is a disappointment. Time will tell if the unit is as sound as it is heavy.....
