I purchased this on a budget as I am a new Mom again to a newborn baby girl (7wks+ as of today 8/26/24) & when I originally purchased this item, my daughter was just slightly under the recommended minimum weight requirement of 8lbs (She was exactly 7lbs at the time of receiving this item). So if you're wondering if it's too large for your infant, (though it does state 8lbs & you should ALWAYS FOLLOW the manufacturers recommended weight requirements, ESPECIALLY for a newborn), I personally think you'll be fine given that in 1-2wks your newborn will be at the minimum weight limit & that's the beauty of purchasing an item that may be too large, baby will grow into it. I do suggest only having your newborn facing you in the carrier until they either reach the minimum 8lbs, or are able to support their head/neck (every baby is different, so do what works for you baby). The reason I bought this is so that it'd be easier for me to take care of my at home tasks/chores, give baby a chance at a new way to soothe/help sleep, be able to still breast/bottle feed while multitasking, & make it easier to travel in public. This is my 2nd child (with my 1st child be 11½yrs of age, so it's like being a 1st time Mommy again given the 11yr age gap) & I just don't have the energy or effort to haul around a carseat, especially in this God awful Houston, TX Summer Heat/Humidity. By having this carrier, I'm able to grab my daughter out of her carseat, place her into the carrier with minimal to zero effor & just GO! By now having this carrier, there's no need for me to remove my carseat & place it into her stroller, or carry around a carseat, while out & about. WORK SMART, Mommies & Daddies, NOT HARD! Grocery shopping, Dr. Appointments, Dining out, cleaning the house, & simply having the ability to soothe my newborn & do skin-2-skin or even breastfeed/bottle feed, have all become SOOOO MUCH EASIER & makes my life that much more efficient. The only thing I haven't done yet is place the carrier on my back, simply because my daughter is a newborn & it'll likely be a while before I put her on my back, so I can't provide an honest review of using this carrier on my back just yet. I can however provide an update to this review, when she is large/old enough to go on my back. As far as placing her forward towards/away from me, both have been comfortable for baby & me. My Baby is now approaching 10lbs & I have placed her in the carrier forward facing because she's able to support her head much easier & my little princess is so curious & enjoys looking around at the world. When she's restless I have her facing me & within 5-10mins tops, she's sound asleep. The only beef I have with this carrier (well 2) is that... 1). The Label/Tag located inside the arm straps is itchy asf & drives me mental, & it can't be removed unless I want to cut out the individual stitching, which seems tedious. So by wearing a shirt that's not a V-Cut/Low cut, or Tank top it helps keep the skin-2-tag contact at a minimum. 2). It's best to preset the arm support straps, so that you can easily put in on, otherwise it seems as though this carrier's straps have a tendency to always get tangled up & get twisted. The strap in the back, I never detach, to kind of help prevent the carrier from getting tangled/twisted. Otherwise, it's quite frustrating trying to assemble, prior to placing baby into the carrier. Aside from those 2 cons, everything else is great. Baby loves being in the carrier, it fits both me & Baby well, it makes life/traveling/activities/chores/etc so much more convenient & it's definitely worth the price, if you're on a budget. You know how the saying goes, "You pay for what you get..."? Well given I only paid $35⁰⁰~ vs. $58⁰⁰~ AT WALMART FOR THE EXACT SAME CARRIER/WT REQUIREMENTS, exactly to a T, definitely just order this here on Amazon & not Wal-Mart. Or if you're at Walmart because you need it asap vs. waiting for shipping/delivery via Amazon, I would consider asking a Wal-Mart Associate to honor the price match because it's a waste of money otherwise. All in all I give this carrier a 9/10.

Awesome item for the price! My baby girl is a little on the smaller side and finally just hit 8 lb at 1 months old. This carrier works perfectly for her and me so that I can finally get some things done hands-free but she can still be with me for naps! Very comfortable so far and she seems to absolutely love it! Looks cute, fits great and perfect for my newborn!

I have a nearly 4 month old baby that's extremely picky with how she is carried. Prior to her birth we had bought a ridiculously expensive Ergo baby carrier that we were very excited about however upon our little ones arrival our excitement turned into disappointed head shaking when we realized our little one absolutely hated it and then some. She has only sat it in twice for maybe 20 minutes tops when she was first born and now at nearly 4 months old I just have to strap it on myself ( I don't even need to put her in it) and she screams her head off - the Ergo baby carrier was a giant waste of money. Our baby is not an easy child by any means, she is overly picky and fussy- she wants to be held facing out only but not cuddled so we needed an outward facing carrier to satisfy everyone's demands and this one popped up. I read up on this one for a good month or so, it was a toss up honestly between this one and another Infantino carrier and this one won based on color since I couldn't find any information about these carriers and hip dysphasia. Anyways, it arrived today finally (I just couldn't wait honestly - with a kid that feels the need to change what she's doing every 10 minutes its a pain in the ass) I popped that sucker on with little need for instructions (its a lot less complicated than the Ergo and pretty straight forward when looking at it) which was very nice, I was able to tighten it myself without needing my husbands help which is key as I'm at home alone during the day. Initially I wasn't very thrilled with the material used, compared to the Ergo it feels light and cheap but you get what you pay for I suppose - you can't buy a 5 Carat ring for $5 so why would you get Ergo quality for $25? I tried not to judge it based on that and slapped that bad boy on with ease, I grabbed the baby and popped her in it without any complaints. She tolerated being put into it - tolerated being carried IN it which is a miracle of miracles. She went in easy and fast, just snap snap and done LITERALLY. She apparently loved it as I did not go deaf from a fussy baby screaming at the top of her lungs in protest. All materials held up, it IS much lighter than Ergo which, I believe, in summer will come in VERY handy. I have only a few small complaints about this thing which is really just minor little things. Firstly, The "bib" part did not fold down as neatly as it is in the photos - my baby isn't a big baby so how she fits in it isn't the cause - it does clip down as it's supposed to but it's kind of all over and pulling or messy looking but like I said, that's a minor thing. Secondly I wasn't really enjoying the fit of the strap in the back that connects the two arm straps...it was a little painful just like the Ergo however I might have had it pulled too tight, too close together making the carrier very VERY uncomfortable. When my little one wakes from her nap I'll adjust and try it again. This carrier doesn't have an over abundance of material used which means in summer my baby will not sweat to death however I did notice today after 30 minutes of use my shirt was soaked where her legs touched my midsecton- I did sweat up a storm and boy oh boy my baby is a little oven producing lots of heat. Overall I am VERY happy with the purchase and at the same time I'm upset I didn't order this first before the Ergo carrier - I can't even return it! This infantino carrier is a great purchase in my eyes and I'm a product snob when it comes to my baby, we've bought nothing but the best and most expensive products for our baby from her Stokke Xplory stroller to her Cybex Aton Q car seat so this purchase is uncharacteristic for us due to its price but it's sooooo worth it. I would recommend this all day long to friends with babies! Will it last as long as an Ergo would, only time will tell but I will NOT hesitate to order another one even if it does last only one year...I just love this product and so does our baby! I came back to edit this post and add a little tid bit I did love about this carrier, it has real metal buttons!!! Even our very exoensive Ergo carrier only has plastic snaps/buttons but this one which is much cheaper used real metal...I love that, nearly no products use the old metal buttons anymore, just love it!!!

Soft, adjustable, and easy to use! Be mindful that the lighter colors get dirty easier, but it’s personally not a problem because they’re machine washable, which is convenient! I’ve washed mine once after my kiddo had a diaper blowout while on it and it worked and looks good as new ✨👌🏼

I really like this carrier. It’s easy to put on, and I like that my 4m old baby can sit facing forward which is her preference. Love the brown color, goes with anything.

I use this just about everyday. And my baby loves is. She loves being close to her mommy but this is comfortable and easy to adjust. Make life easy while we go shopping.

I love the quality material and how supportive it is. My baby LOVES it and gets so excited when I put ut on. I also enjoy the ability to go hands free while holding her so I can tend to my toddler. Very happy with this product

We have been so happy with our Infantino Flip 4-in-1It is lightweight, very easy to use, and our baby loves being in it. Transitioning it to the back-carry position feels secure and comfortable. You really don't need to spend a fortune on a high-end carrier when this one works perfectly! Highly recommend.
