A friend is of Norwegian ancestry and has been doing a lot of research. He loved it ! And had fun explaining the saying to the other guests. ( I added a box Coffee k-cups to go with it)

My Norwegian mother loves this cup. She says Uff Da all the time! She loved that the red was inside the cup.

I like the cup itself and the sayings are fun...but the quality is terrible. The red inside of the cup didn't adhere properly and had run in multiple places around the lip and doesn't make for a quality looking mug for the price. Poor quality control. Unfortunately this mug will not be used for drinking );
