I purchased this alongside a blood pressure monitor. This device is handier than the testing device you get on your samsung mobile phone, plus it is able to check your oxygen levels too. The unit is very easy to use, you simply clip it over your finger and press the button. It quickly gives you your heart rate and oxygen level, plus it shows a small graph of your heart beat. The device appears to be quite accurate and the results don't bounce around. My oxygen level appeared to be static around 97%. The unit doesn't work for everyone. I tested it on all my fingers and it produced quick consistent results every time. I tried it on another person and it refused to work. It took a while to just find a suitable finger. I believe this is down to poor circulation in the fingers, but if you suffer from the dreaded cold fingers you might find it hard to get any results out of this. Other useful things about this are that you can press the button and cycle through various displays, with slightly different styles and with different orientation. This makes it much easier to read the display. The unit turns itself off after you stop using it. The unit comes with an optional lanyard accessory and is presented in a little case that will keep it protected and in good condition. Overall, I am very pleased with this, it works well and accurately and was at a very reasonable price.

So many to choose from on ebay but I wanted one that was sent from the UK, which it was. Had an email after ordering to give me all the links to the instructions etc which was great. The item arrived in a matter of days and was just what I wanted. The display is bright and colourful and seems very accurate. It came with a professional looking box which contained the instructions in clear english, a canvas pouch to protect it when not in use and a lanyard if you want to hang it around your neck for any reason. It comes preconfigured with some alarms for high and low HR and SATS and these thresholds can be changed if required which is straight forward after you read the instructions carefully and settings are chosen using a combination of short or long presses of the single button, or toggling a + or - to increase or decrease the values for the alarms if you want to use them. Very pleased with the quality and functionality of this device and for the price I think it is great. I've tested it on myself to see my AFib and can be seen by the irregular intervals of the heartbeat in the waveform that runs along. There is also a bar which jumps up upon every heartbeat to give you a large indicator or each beat as well as the waveform that runs along the length of the screen to show any patterns etc. I'm rambling now, so hopefully you get the gist. I got this after a relative spent some time in hospital so that we could monitor them at home. The pulse measurement is consistant with a BP monitor that was obtained for a similar reason and, although not cross-checked the oxygen levels are consistant to the result in hospital. The unit itself is small enough to put in a pocket and is easy to use - simply clamp it around a finger. The readings are fairly quickly produced and, if left on, they can be seen to change as breathing patterns are adjusted so would appear to be working correctly. Pressing the single button will rotate the display, which is clear and fairly uncluttered, so that it is easy to read regardless of the hand it has been put on.

I bought it because my dad has COPD, and I noted from other reviews that other people/carers dealing with COPD had rated it highly (along with the fact that it claims to be supplied to the NHS). I must admit that I haven't read the instructions yet. However, in typical bloke-mode, I opened the box, opened the battery compartment (noting that it is designed such that both batteries are inserted the same way), and inserted the batteries. I stuck it on my finger, and noting that nothing happened, I pressed the only button on it, and it turned on. It immediately read my spO2 and reported 98%. Proceeding on the assumption that there's nothing wrong with me (and I'm not aware that there is), and having read up a bit, I concluded a) that there was still nothing wrong with me, and b) that the device was working. I then tried it on my dad while he was resting (as in, not trying to mow the lawn or anything, which I have repeatedly warned him not to even attempt, otherwise it won't be the COPD that eventually finishes him off) and it read 88%. So far, so good. I need to check him out now after he's been to fetch the newspapers tomorrow morning. It came next day (Prime) in the usual huge shipping packet relative to the primary container - which is maybe the size of two matchboxes - it is supplied in. I note that it remains on while it is receiving data, and continuously scans. It turns off not many seconds after you take it off (i.e. after it stops receiving data). It has a nice blue and yellow display, and is well made. You can change the orientation of the readout by pressing the button, and the button also lets you access the setup menus. When I get round to reading the instructions, I'm sure I will understand how it does that. At this stage, I have discovered the menu accidentally - probably as a result of holding the button for longer than a single press. So far I'm impressed.

Quite simply, an excellent product, at an excellent (sale) price. Just bought it, so lets see how long it lasts, but it looks well made/constructed and comes in a neat little case/pouch with velcro fastening flap. The machine itself features an all-colour display, the orientation of which can be readily changed (4 options: up/down; down/up, left/right, or right/left) - so that the 'patient' can read the displayed values, or someone else with them sitting/standing to their side or directly opposite etc. Readings themselves seem reliable and accurate. Have compared the PR/bpm values with simultaneous measurements on other machines, eg clinical grade BP machine. Spot on each time, with the PR being the same on both machines each time. Although not designed to continuously monitor, you can leave it on I think and the batteries will last a long time. If the SPO2 value drops below a pre-set level (which can be changed by user), then an alarm sounds which alerts the user/carer etc. Overall? Great product. Great Value (bought while on sale for £29.95)

TempIR Oximeter is a very elegant looking well-made product which is easy to carry in a jacket pocket. It comes with a storage pouch and a lanyard. The panel displays the oxygen saturation and pulse rate very clearly. The sound and alarm are useful. The four positional displays can be changed by pressing the button making it easy to read. It has the bar graph display. It is easy to operate and easy to carry and I recommend this product.

I was very impressed with the build quality and the pricing ie "pay a little extra get a lot more" and you certainly do with this company 2 days after arrival received a phone call from their customer services checking that it had arrived and was satisfactory, I was but to mentioned that the oxygen level indicator seemed to be slightly erratic but pulse levels were spot on (pulse being the reason for purchase as I suffer from Arithmia) The gentleman told me he would speak to the technical department and they would be in touch within 2 to 3 days, it took all of a couple of hours for an e mail from the company CO to contact me and sort out the problem. With that type of customer service and such a good product costing less than £30 all I can say is if Carlsberg sold Oximeters they would call them TempIR. I have been at the doctors today and the readings were virtually the same.,highly delighted very imptessed and would reccomend this product

Sono mesi che lo uso e funziona regolarmente, I parametri sono pressoché corretti, a volte può succedere di avere valori leggermente diversi se ripetete la misurazione, a tale proposito vorrei darvi due suggerimenti ,1) aspettate di sentire la vibrazione che avvisa del parametro preso , 2) se avete 2 misurazione non uguali per l'ossigenazione ripetete ulteriormente un test e vedrete che capirete quale era quello errato , nel complesso soddisfatto, forse un po' alto il prezzo, ma era il periodo in cui andavano a ruba

Ho acquistato questo pulsossimetro in previsione dell'inverno e della prevedibile seconda ondata. L'ho ricevuto il 2 novembre. Ho fatto una misura (98%) e l'ho messo via. Nei giorni scorsi ho avuto un po' di febbre (37.2) e pochissima tosse. Ho provato a misurare l'ossigenazione: dal 95% scendeva a 92% e partiva l'allarme. Ho spento e riacceso, facendo passare un'ora: 92-93%. Ho cominciato a preoccuparmi. Ho misurato a mia moglie: 98-99%. Poi ho misurato di nuovo su di me: 98%. Dopo poco 92%, e così via per tutta la giornata, alternando valori normali a valori da allarme. Hoprovato a tenere le mani calde (una scarsa circolazione periferica può modificare la misura), ho provato a mantenere non troppo stretta la presa sul dito (una eccessiva compressione potrebbe limitare la circolazione sanguigna sul dito): nulla! i valori oscillavano tra normali e patologici. Tra l'altro il valore spesso scende clamorosamente nel giro di una manciata di secondi. L'ho pagato 50€, sperando che fosse un prodotto accettabile. Poiché sono passati 15 giorni, non posso nemmeno fare il reso
