I bought these over a year ago and haven't used them until yesterday. I used the 35mm (1 3/8") to make holes for door hinges. I cut holes for 31 rift-sawn white oak doors (62 holes) and it went through all of them without any problem. The carbide blades still feel sharp. There is no way I would have been able to drill hole after hole after hole if I was using high speed steel Forstner bits. I am confident I will have this set of bits for a life time.

This is a set of Forstner bits in Metric sizes 15mm -35mm. They come in individual plastic rectangular sleeves. The sleeves are individually marked with stickers on one side. There is no case for the entire set, just the cardboard box they came in. This could be better. My SAE set from a few years ago came in a nice wooden hinged box for convenient storage. The bits look very nice although the shafts are not very long. They are good quality. They are sharp out of the box. They made some nice flat bottom holes in a practice sample I tried. I believe they are a good value for teh price.

Crazy low price for some very sharp bits, with next day delivery! The only complaint i have is i wish it came with a bit holder/stand. But being a woodworker (novice) even i can drill holes in a nice 2x4 board to make my own bit holder/stand. I can't fault the company for not including a case/holder to make this 16 bit set at a very affordable price. These forstner bits did come packaged in individual plastic protective containers, so they are in good condition. I needed these smaller sizes to do xmas gifts.

Just what I need

Not the best Forstner bits I've used but on wood and plastic they work fine. The reason I purchased these was the need for metric sizes for a special project in PVC. For someone that's going to make heavy use of the bits I'd suggest they get a more substantial set which obviously will be more expensive.

I purchased this set for occasional use, not expecting much... In fact, you most often get what you pay for... That being said, if you have a diamond paddle or two, you can make respectable Forstner bits out of these, for occasional use. (see pictures) This set is definitely for people with more time than money, and for those that will not be using them every day. Here is what I found: 1) all the bits (and I mean ALL), are poorly sharpened and will require re-shaping/cleaning-up of the cutting edges with a coarse diamond hone, followed by honing with a fine diamond hone. Most are NOT ground along the entire edge, and some still have brazing material on the edges. Not a big deal... Notably, the spurs are reasonably well-sharpened, and most will NOT require touching-up. 2) The "carbide" (if that is what it actually is) is rather soft. This may be a plus when it comes to reshaping and honing the edges. 3) All the shanks are numbered, and easy to identify. Some have complained theirs were not. 4) The concentricity appears to be good, and once honed, they make pretty good holes. All in all, a reasonably good starter/occasional use set, if you are comfortable sharpening these types of bits. Check on YouTube for more info on that topic. These are certainly not professional quality.

Visto il prezzo, mi ritengo molto soddisfatto. Le punte forano dritto senza spostarsi nella fase di lavorazione (eccezione se nel legno vi sono dei nodi molto duri, ma comunque precisione molto buona). Provate su legno tenero di abete con trapano a colonna per uso obbistico (200Watt). Le punte tagliano bene con una buona espulsione del truciolo. Non scheggia la parte lavorata, ed il foro risulta pulito e preciso (avendo fatto solo fori cechi, ancora da verificare se scheggia il legno nel foro passante). Alcune punte, sembrano tagliare un po' poco (non tagliano tutte uguali e sono forse meno affilate) ma comunque il risultato è molto soddisfacente.

I needed 7 of the sizes supplied for my project. If I had been using softwood the would have been perfect but in hardwood the larger diameters did not finish smoothly. Overall an ok product for theoney.
