Kato USA Model Train Products UNITRACK World's Greatest Hobby Plan Set

My grandson want this but wanted it with brown ties. This was not made clear in ad or packaging. I think it is made in Japan (I hope so) and not China!

This track set has everything to make an enjoyable easy to use model railroad layout. I switched back to HO after going to N Scale because of size restraints. I already have lots of Kato N Scale track and bought this because of how well it works. I can't wait to get some of the other versions available to expand with and create new and exciting layouts. I do my modeling on a flat table with different colors of indoor/outdoor carpet (green for eastern railroads, tan for the west) as the base so I can change things up as I feel.The product was shipped promptly and arrived in a timely manner.Thanks to Iron Planet Hobbies for having this and their great service.

Kato Unitrack is my personal favorite when it comes to HO scale track. It easily snaps together, lies flat on wood floors or carpet, and has nickel silver code 83 rails that resist corrosion. The set itself makes a nice layout, and is easily expandable with more track pieces. My only gripe here is that the set doesn't come with a train power pack, which is why I give it 4 stars. At this price I would think that would be included, but it is not. I bought mine used, so I saved a few dollars, but it is high quality track and worth the purchase if you have the extra money to spend.

I only buy Kato HO track. The grandkids set it up on the living room floor when they come over and it stays connected until they leave.

I bought this for my son that has autism and has been addicted to trains since he was a baby. It arrived well packaged and as described. It is a great value as the same set was $10-25 more!
