This is the first time purchasing Star Anise, I was surprised the smell is similar to licorice. You get a good amount in the jar (around 15). I put mine in a vacuum sealed mason jar to keep them fresher. I personally like that they are organic. I would recommend this to a friend.

I have yet to use the star anise but it smells fantastic. It's extremely fragrant and there are little to know broken stars in the jar. There was also a lot more packed in there then I expected. I intend to use it to make a fall sangria so this purchase was perfect for that. It also shipped and was delivered quickly.

Lid on bottle arrived broken. Not sure I even want to use it as there wasn't even a seal under the lid:/
