UPDATE: After my original review (below) THEY contacted me. I didn't initiate anything. They sent me a new bag completely free to replace the leaking one. This company has excellent customer service. The back pack is comfortable and does float, but CAN NOT BE SUBMERGED in water. It is meant to float. Wish more companies had customer service as good as this one.I got this bag to use while flying. I'm getting my pilots license and wanted a survival kit in case of plane crashes or emergency landings. I tested it out in the bathtub and the contents in the front zipper were absolutely soaked!!! It was so bad that water was pouring out of the zipper onto my floor. The inside was also wet. I used paper towels inside to test it out. Maybe I didn't fill it up enough, but I followed the directions on how to properly roll it up that were emailed to me with the purchase. It did float, but I wonder if it filled up completely with water if it would continue to float. I have it hanging up to dry out right now and will try again with a tighter roll. I think it would be fine in the rain, but failed bath tub submersion.

This bag is ideal for a day on the beach or in our case, a day on the boat!It's durable but very lightweight. The size holds all of what you need plus the outer side zips are very handy for securing your keys!The manufacturer even sent a "care instructions" email on how to look after/clean the dry bag before it was even shipped out. That gesture alone told me this is a compamy that cares about their customers and takes pride in their products!

Regularly use this bag for 2 things, to keep things dry in wet weather and to carry wet clothes or bathing suits. Perfect for an overnight trip or day trip to the beach or pool with family

Used it as ditch bag on a sailing trip. Perfect. We also used it to carry valuables in the dinghy when going to shore.

We got rained on pretty hard and nothing got wet. Plenty of room for two people for a weekend trip. Very sturdy and seems to be well made. I'd recommend.

This is heavy duty and works great, I have had it on the kayak, at the beach and pool... No issues!
