I picked up the big bag of Swedish Fish mostly for sharing, but that plan didn’t last very long once I actually opened it. Right away, I noticed how fresh they were, soft, chewy, and exactly what I was hoping for. They have that classic texture that’s a little firm on the outside but still gives easily, with that slightly waxy feel that makes them last a bit longer as you chew. The flavor is exactly how I remember it. That signature red taste is kind of hard to pin down, somewhere between berry and raspberry, but it’s not overly sweet, which I actually appreciate. It makes them easy to keep snacking on without feeling like it’s too much. I’ve even caught myself grabbing a few with coffee, which sounds odd but somehow works. What stood out most to me was the consistency. Most of the bag was really fresh and soft, though I did notice an occasional piece that was a bit firmer than the others. Honestly, that slight variation didn’t bother me, it almost adds to the experience if you’re used to this kind of candy. The size is worth mentioning too, these are the larger Swedish Fish, which I like because they have a bit more chew to them and feel more satisfying than the smaller ones. That said, a bag this big goes further than you think; unless you keep reaching for handfuls like I did. I originally planned to share, and I did end up giving some away just to avoid finishing the whole thing myself. As for value, it’s a bit of a mixed feeling. It’s not the cheapest candy option out there, but considering the quantity and how fresh they were, I still think it’s worth it; especially if you already know you like Swedish Fish. You’re getting a lot, and the quality holds up. Overall, it’s exactly what I wanted; classic flavor, great texture, and a surprisingly addictive snack. Just be warned, it’s very easy to go through more of the bag than you intended.

A taste of my youth. These Swedish Fish have the same great taste I remember as a kid. They are not sticky and of course the ever-faithful red color is perfect.

This huge 5lb bag of Swedish Fish was shipped fast, fresh and chewy delicious! Each one amazingly soft and chewy. Price and flavor way better than store bought ones. Will reorder again. Highly recommended.

Just as tasty as they were in the 90s. Some, maybe 5%, were a bit dried out and hard. I sure wish they had the grape flavor available.

Still taste great! What can I say? I am 67 years old and still try and fit as many of these fishes into my mouth like I would do when I was five years old. These ones are much larger than the ones I would get in the candy store 60 years ago.

As expected, quality & value! Purchased for a work party & needed 75 servings, per package this should have been enough; IT WAS! Actually 76 +4 fish! Thank you so much I appreciate the transparency and accuracy. Color & flavor is just like small packs in the store.

For the most part they taste okay but found a weird yellow thing in a few… so kinda gross

I really wanted to love Swedish Fish there’s something nostalgic and fun about them. But after giving them a solid try, I have to admit they didn’t live up to the hype for me. Pros: - Fun Shape & Colour: The little fish are definitely cute, and the bright red color makes them visually appealing. They’re a fun snack to look at, if nothing else. - Long-Lasting Chew: If you like candy that takes a while to eat, these definitely fit the bill. They're chewy forever. Cons: - Weird Texture: The chewiness borders on rubbery. It’s not the satisfying gummy texture I was hoping for—more like chewing on a pencil eraser. - One-Dimensional Flavour: They claim to be "fruity," but honestly, the flavour is super artificial and kind of bland. It tastes like mystery red with a hint of disappointment. - Too Sweet: I have a sweet tooth, but even for me, these were overly sugary without much depth or contrast. Swedish Fish are cute and iconic, but the taste and texture just didn’t do it for me. If you're looking for a satisfying gummy candy, there are way better options out there. I might snack on them if they’re lying around, but I won’t be buying them again.

Ate the whole freakin' bag. Delicious. Don't buy these if you have low self esteem...going up two pant sizes will not help you
