Runleader RL-HM038AD Digital Hour Meter, LCD Display

Just installed about a week ago on my Bad Boy Rambler. Very easy to install. So far it works great seems to be well built. Great piece, saved about $60 from what Bad Boy dealers charge. Fit perfectly in the panel cut out. i think its a good value for price difference and feel it will last for a long time.

My hour run meter on my motorhome started behaving erratically and would no longer show the 42 hours of run time. This plug and play replacement worked perfectly as a replacement.

Good replacement for the stock Honeywell 98204 hour meter in my 2012 desert fox with the onan 4000, this one has an internal coin battery too, so it will eventually crap out like the honeywell and ill lose total hours. But i wanted a like for like replacement that matched the OEM and fit in the slot, this one does that. If the hour meter in your RV with the onan control panel died, this is an exact replacement. It has 2 "trip odometer's" on it so i can hold the button for 5 seconds and it resets to zero, seperate from total generator hours so i can zero it out when i change the oil, and zero out the second odometer when i change the air filter

So far, so good! I put this on a 2021 , Toro TimeCutter ZTR mower. Installation was a breeze! There was some VERY minor filing that needed to be done length wise to allow for a snug fit without forcing the part into the cutout, and some minor soldering to allow the leads to properly connect from the mowers existing harness to the terminals on the meter. The two programmable memory points are a fantastic feature for tracking maintenance intervals!! I've seen reviews that say the unit dies after a few hours, but I haven't seen that yet. Hopefully, not ever! I purchased this meter because of the grotesque $63 price tag for the OEM meter that (honestly) should have been included with the Toro mower and not as an "add-on option". And, to be honest, even if the meter fails, it's still cheaper to buy 3 more, set the initial hours so you don't loose any existing hours (very nice feature btw!!), reprogram your maintenance intervals, and BAM...you're done!

Fit and function is correct. Not exactly like the one I removed but was aware of that prior to ordering. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that it has only been installed 2 weeks and I will have to see how long it will continue to operate correctly.

tl;dr: the documentation for this item does not specify whether this item counts sub-6-minute intervals, but according to my testing, it does (I suspect it accumulates seconds, though it only displays in increments of 6 minutes (tenths of an hour)). Gory details: I was looking for a way to measure the accumulated time that my rooftop Heat Pump runs its Resistive Heater (aka "Emergency Heat" which consumes electric power at a much greater rate than the heat pump operating in its primary reverse-A/C heating mode), in order to ascertain (a) whether (how much) the reverse-A/C heating mode failing to "keeping up" with heating my house (causing the thermostat to turn on the Resistive Heater for backup heat), or (b) how often (how much) the Heat Pump triggers its defrost mode (which causes the Resistive Heater to be turned on while the Heat Pump runs in A/C (cooling) mode to heat its outdoor coils). Such monitoring wouldn't discriminate which of the two above triggers have caused the Resistive Heater to run, but would at least tell me how much of my electric bill comes from running it. Rather than fiddle around on the rooftop unit, I wanted to accumulate the number of seconds (or minutes) that the W2 or E wire at my thermostat has 24 VAC applied (indicating the Resistive Heater is being called for (thus is running)). I searched in vain for a "second meter" or a "minute meter" that would count the accumulated seconds that voltage was present on this wire (NB: in my install, W2 and E wires are shorted together, so there is only 1 wire to monitor). Fortunately according to my testing, this Hour Meter appears to fit the bill almost perfectly: my test was to apply 24VAC across the terminals of the meter for 2 minutes at a time, then remove the voltage for 2+ minutes, then repeat. After 3 cycles of 2 minutes on, 2 minutes off, the counter had advanced from 0.0 to 0.1 (6 total minutes of on-time). After another 3 cycles, from 0.1 to 0.2 (12 total minutes of on-time). The Job Timers feature unique to this particular Hour Meter make it possible to reset the displayed counter periodically (weekly or monthly). I still have to come up with a cosmetic way to mount this above the thermostat. Wish me luck! update: an annoying drawback is that unlike my 2005 Toyota's odometer (which has 2 independently resettable trip meters in addition to the unresettable odometer, any of which (whichever the user last selected) remains displayed indefinitely), after a few seconds this device's display switches back to the unresettable hour counter.

Installed on a 2022 toro timecutter, very straight forward and works great for the price!

Fits like a glove, uses the factory plug on this machine, and fills the hole that Toro doesn't put an hour meter in. Put in when brand new so I can track oil and service internals. Works great.

I liked the ability to set the total hours, (took a couple of attempts but got there). The two resettable timers just tick away in the background until you want to reset them, so one could be used for oil changes and the other for individual jobs. Good value.

Fit my Toro Zero turn perfectly (with a litlle filing) and plugs right into the facory plug! Looks OEM at a fraction of the cost. It keeps total hours as well as 2 resettable meters that I will use for seasonal hours and oil changes.
