COBIT 2019 Implementation Guide: Implementing and Optimizing an Information and Technology Governance Solution [Isaca] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. COBIT 2019 Implementation Guide: Implementing and Optimizing an Information and Technology Governance Solution Review: Invaluable resource for project and program managers - I was provided a copy of the book by the company for which I work. This 80 page book is worth its weight in gold for the way it lays out what is required to implement IT governance. It's broken down into seven phases, and for each phase lays out roles, objectives, descriptions, tasks inputs, resources and outputs. These are further targeted at three different areas (separation of concerns): (1) Program Management, (2) Change Enablement, and (3) Continual Improvement. The specific phases are: 1 - Initiate the program 2 - Define problems and opportunities 3 - Define roadmap 4 - Plan program 5 - Execute plan 6 - Realize benefits 7 - Review effectiveness In essence this is like having a master work breakdown structure. More importantly, the way this implementation guide is put together makes it easy to refactor for any major initiative (i.e., implementing ITIL, TBM, etc.) In that respect it's a master template that any project manager involved in major implementations of processes that also require effective organizational change management will find invaluable. While it's pricey, almost a dollar per page, consider the return on investment. It will literally save up to 80 hours (and perhaps a lot more) developing a project plan for IT governance implementation. What is the hourly rate of a consultant or the fully loaded rate of a senior project manager? Answering those questions will provide an idea of the true value of this book. One final note: I have framed this book as a valuable resource for project managers. It is actually more accurately described as a program level guide because each of the phases are more like individual projects. I personally like the way this guide looks at the entire lifecycle of IT governance. Review: ISACA is stuck in 20th century - ISACA is stuck in 20th century and not willing to publish ebooks. This culture needs to change
