what can I say it is a garmin
this is a truck version of the garmin gps and it works like a dream yes it does send you to some strange places, but you just have to use it as another tool, know where you are going and it will work fine, show you the route and the miles and mainly the times.

It works fine but Garmin has cheapened up the case a bit ...
It works fine but Garmin has cheapened up the case a bit and made it more "clunky" the on off button is now on the opposite side no biggie if you only have one but if you have a fleet of trucks it is another excuse for drivers to get their paws all over the place. If you have wired in your power cord from a previous model that cord has caused error codes/ non compatible issues on screen and needs to be changed to the one that came with unit. other than that there is not any real big difference from the previous model.

Great gps
Pay no attention to bad reviews on this gps. This thing is dead on accurate. Crystal clear screen. Only negative thing I've found is not enough low bridge warning. I haul oversized loads. So to test it out I set vehicle height at 14'8".... I knew there was a 14'6" overpass on my route. Gps flashed low bridge warning about 2 miles ahead. But problem is by then I'd already passed the last exit before low bridge. So had I really been 14'8" tall I'd have been S..T out of luck... but other than that it's best gps I've owned period.... I've owned tom tom and most recent was a Magellan roadmate wihich is a great gps. But the one I I had didn't have truck routing. And oh by the way shipping was 2 days early😁😁

this unit has been avoiding all "Passenger Car Only " roads and it's easy to use
I've owned it for about a week and it has been working very well so far. My work vehicle is a Chevy Colorado and although it's normally permitted on all roadways this truck has been outfitted with a spray rig and has commercial plates which renders it restricted. No complaints, this unit has been avoiding all "Passenger Car Only " roads and it's easy to use. I'd recommend it to any truck driver.

Very Useful GPS System
The Garmin dezl 570LMT is truck GPS works very well for truck routes for truck driver. Although some individuals I know have used the navigation system while driving their sedan. The system COULD be used as a regular navigation system, but please be aware that it will take you to truck routes if you were to change directions or look for alternative lanes. As a reminder, remember to fully charge the GPS before turning it on or else you might experience problems with it. With that said, the GPS itself is very useful:PROS: You can input your truck size, weight, length and more. Base on the information you input about your truck, it can direct you to the best possible route. Additionally, you can change the language (speech and text), save your previous route, and look for nearby areas to make rest stop.CONS: Sometimes if the navigation system is not plug into an outlet, it automatically shuts off. You need to manually turn on the GPS again in order to set your settings. Additionally, you have to push and hold the power button for about 30-40 second before the unit turns on. Make sure you always save your setting before turning the until off or else there will be times where your data will not be saved.

I am a bit disappointed with it as I thought it would function better ...
Overall I would say this just an ok GPS. Frankly, I am a bit disappointed with it as I thought it would function better than it does. I have had this for almost 2 full years now. I got it for driving commercial vehicles with passengers (trolleys, coach bus, limo bus, etc.) I was most interested in avoiding low clearances as well as weight limits. One of the extra features that comes along with it is most annoying. It re-routes you just to avoid sharp turns in the road! I even tried changing the length of the vehicle in the profile to see if that would make a difference but it has not. If it just showed a warning about curves that should be sufficient. Instead it routes you miles out of your way. As a result, I mostly use it in car mode defeating the purpose of the purchase entirely. It also does not always route you the quickest way. One specific way I go (on a major road) eliminates 7 minutes from the route! Why won't this do the same? Also, my Nuvi gave you the ability to change the speed of the segment that you were on as it is often wrong or non-existent. The Dezl does not have that functionality, you cannot edit speeds at all. Another irritating thing is that most of the time that I manually change the route the way that want to go it will finally adapt but then I have to manually add back in the arrival time! Why it will not stay there as a default is a complete mystery. The power cord has already failed. The rubber became separated near where it connects to the unit exposing the wires. It started to short out and I had to use my old Nuvi cord while I wait for a new one which leaves my wife without a GPS. I called Garmin and they wouldn't do a thing for me since it was out of warranty. A complete joke to have the cord fail already. Next, I just tried to do a map update. I had upated it when I first got it and it already almost ran out of room. It said I would have to add a memory disk next time. This is also ridiculous as you should get more than one update using the memory in the unit before having to purchase additional memory. I added the memory card and tried an update. After about a half hour or so into the update it cancelled abruptly and said there was an error during the download. The screen started flashing back and forth and then shut down. The only way I can turn it on now is in the car where it proceeds to tell me that the map is corrupted and install a new one. When I try to do that it won’t even recognize that it’s plugged in and I can’t even power it up with the button on the back. Support is shut down on weekends (another mystery) and I needed it for work tomorrow. Even if I they replace it I may have lost all my data of favorites, etc. Caveat Emptor (Let the buyer beware)

I love this Garmin GPS
I love this Garmin GPS. It's very accurate, and gets me were I need to be every time. It has a stable mount, and a clear high def screen with nice colors. Warnings around weight limit streets, and keeps you safe on roads based on your truck dimensions input. I like the speed limit feature; it tells each roads speed limit, and turns red as you exceed the speeds, then normal as you slow to speed limit. Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase. The only minor complaints; although it's loud enough, I thought the highest volume would be louder, and the voice by turn feature is fine, I just wish it would also name the street you're turning on.
