Where is the fire starter located at on the knife?

There is a ferro rod on the whistle, its feels like a metal rod thats painted black, you have to scrap the black paint off using the area on the back of the blade to scrape it kinda the way a lighter works when making a spark when scraping the flint, you can view videos on how to use a ferro rod and you will see what it is.

How do you fold the knife

Hold the knife pointing away from you so you are looking at the cutting edge of the blade. Near the blade pivot point is a metal spring - its part of the liner and locks the blade in place when fully open. It has a wavy edge about 3/4 inch long. Press that piece out of the way to the left of the blade and then you can fold the blade back to a closed position.

difference between clam and box?

Nothing is different with the product. One comes in the plastic clam shell and the other comes in a little paper box probably like a collector would prefer.
