This Is Wonderful Magnesium!
I want to set the record straight about this product because I see a lot of negative reviews predicated upon the flavor. First of all, not everything thats good for you is going to taste good. Thats just part of life. Second - this stuff really doesn't even taste that bad. In fact, Magnesium Chloride tastes worse. No magnesium product in powder form that you add to water tastes good folks, unless its mixed with a bunch of artificial flavorings - which you DON'T want. The only way to bypass the flavor is to take it in capsules, which in my opinion: is not only much more expensive than buying a in bulk powdered form, but not as effective. Magnesium seems to work best when its mixed and dissolved in liquid. I take a teaspoon of this in my coffee in the morning, and an additional teaspoon at night. I don't complain about the taste, because I know its good for me! Wouldn't you rather do whats best for your health, even if it is mildly uncomfortable? I know I would! We live in a society where we are driven by our tastes buds and not our bodies dire need for real nutrition. As a culture we often neglect health foods because of how our palate has been programmed for nothing but junk. This magnesium tastes strongly like the amino acid glycine in its isolated form. Aside from the strong glycine flavor which is very sweet, there is a very slight fishy smell and flavor. This smell and flavor is not an indicator that this is a bad or rancid product. This is just what pure magnesium bisglycinate tastes and smells like! I love this stuff and it makes me feel amazing and helps with my anxiety and memory. I actually enjoy the flavor! If you find that this powder clumps in your liquid, which it will, I recommend the following: Buy a battery powered handle coffee frother. Its a little device that whips coffee at a high velocity. This will allow you to stir not only magnesium properly into your liquid solution - but any other hard to stir herbal or supplement powders. I give this a 5 out of 5 stars. If you have a weak stomach, I can see how you would not like this. Personally, I come from the perspective of " If its good for me and will help me have a bigger life - who cares what it tastes like. " You can easily slam a teaspoon of this stuff down. Compared to other magnesium products this is not only incredibly cost effective ( under 10 bucks ) but it works wonderfully and I feel like this stuff absorbs much better than the magnesium oxides, citrates, carbonates, malates, etc. The only other form of magnesium that I find works as well is Food grade magnesium chloride. A+ Product. I love the NOW foods brand. They deliver quality products and low prices.

I finally settled on a sprinkle of Cayenne ๐ถ followed by biting a ๐ lemon. ๐
My husband said not to try the powdered form because it would taste bad, but it wasn't my first time downing a disgusting mixture every day so I decided to try it. I read all the reviews about it tasting horrible, and one of them pointed out that Magnesium just tastes bad so ordering it and complaining about the taste is silly.. If you have good-tasting magnesium it's probably a bad sign. Fair enough! WELL, let me tell you.. ๐ถ This is the absolute worst thing I have ever tasted. ๐ I thought I was prepared, but I was not. It is deceptive in that it has no smell really, and at first you can't taste anything at all. Then.... BOOM. ๐คฏ๐คข๐ตโ๐ซ๐๐ซ Absolutely nothing covered up the taste. Adding it to a drink didn't work even a teeny tiny bit. Not even pure lemon juice made a difference! Cinnamon, ginger, pepper, turmeric, salt.. I was scrambling through my spices and beverages, and I tried every single thing I could think of. It's just terrible and there is no disguising it. What I finally settled on was sprinkle of Cayenne powder, followed by licking or biting a lemon afterwards. ๐ The heat from the Cayenne distracts me from the taste while I'm drinking it, and the lemon kept me from having to endure the horrible aftertaste. ๐ซฃ I did it this way for about a week until I got used to it enough to ditch the lemon, but I still have to add Cayenne! It cracks me up to be honest.. I told my husband he was 1,000% correct, but I'm stubborn and was tired of spending money on the pill form so I was determined to figure it out. This is more cost effective, and again, it's just how magnesium tastes. Honestly it's not a big deal anymore, but it was quite the ordeal at first ๐ I'm giving it 5 stars because it is what it claims to be! It helps me with sleep and such. I just thought I'd be able to cover up the taste, and that is definitely not possible. Good luck! ๐

Disgusting taste
I never leave reviewsโฆ.but I had to warn folks. This one shocked me. I just this and was so excited to try magnesium for the first time. I mixed 1/2 tsp with passion fruit juice. It blended alright, tiny bit of clumps which i didnt mindโฆ but the taste was so gross. Im so disappointed, i had to chug it and even that was unbearableโฆI should have gotten capsules or something else. I usually always read reviews but was so tired thag I forgot this time. I slept alright cant tell if it didnt anything -but only took it once after dinner, so I cant judge if it truly works long term. However, it tasted so gross that I genuinely dont know what to do now, wasted $15 for sure.

Tastes Horrible but Works Great
It tastes so horrible I want to deduct a few stars but it works so well I canโt do it. Fortunately the aftertaste isnโt bad, just nasty going down. I havenโt slept this good in decades using it.

Works well
UPDATE 2026 ***BE CAREFUL TAKING THIS! ESPECIALLY IF YOU FOLLOW A FLOURIDE FREE DIET*** I started takung this in August 2025, it is now February 2026 and I have multiple cavities. I did not want to write a bad review because I do believe this product works, however, after much consideration I realized stupidly I MADE myself more susceptible to getting cavities from citric acid because about 2.5 years ago I switched to "all natural" flouride free toothpaste because regular toothpaste kept giving me mouth sores and mouth shedding. I do believe this supplement was the culprit because it's the only different "food" thing I have done with my diet (I am 33 btw and never had tooth issues prior even with changing toothpastes) aside from increasing water intake. I believe the citric acid in this caused the issue because I would drink half a serving in the morning with breakfast and drink the other half at night with dinner. It already has citric acid but since I drink OJ, I would have half with that in the morning. Funnily enough, I reviewed initially that it showed best results taken with OJ - as in the so-called muscle effects. I never took it at night with orange juice and actually stopped mixing with juice altogether after about 3 months because I started increasing my water intake so cut out all juices completely. I am annoyed because I called myself looking out for my health but now it seems I created more health problems to have headache over. Guess that saying is right, the road to hell is paved with good intention. Initial Review: It will help loosen your stools. I have been using it daily because of reoccuring fissure (mexican food is not my friend). I can't say it has helped me sleep or made my other muscles - aside from my butt - feel relaxed. It did NOT make my stomach ache or cause any other digestion issues. IMO it works best if you drink it with orange juice or orange based drinks. It will make drinks like apple juice or grape turn colors when added.

Good product, not the best taste
Nothing wrong with the product itself. The taste is not good. Iโve tasted a lot of supplements in the past especially some pre-workout stuff thatโs been pretty bad. This is worse than those. Iโm going to finish all of this bottle and see if Iโll be able to get past it. Iโve been taking it for almost two weeks now. Itโs a shame because itโs the only one that you can get the recommended dosage at a good price point. Iโve only mixed it with water. Not sure if mixing with anything else works

Great if You want a higher dose per serving!
Not for me. Too strong. Made me bloated and gassy. Definitely a great option though for anybody that has a hard time swallowing pills. The taste wasn't the worst. Had kind of an off-putting, citrus taste. However, I would mix mine in with cherry bai or lemon core water. If you microwave 2 oz for 25 seconds, it helps the powder to dissolve. LOVE That this is 300 mg per 1 tsp serving as it is nearly impossible to find anything that strong in a capsule form. This will kick in quicker and relax you a little so I definitely advise taking it at night time and hour before bed. Good clean pure ingredients in this NOW product.

With Insomia and sleep apnea. Iโm sleeping okayyyyy
Taste terrible! Like I hate it sooo much. But when I say Iโve been staying asleep, no waking up in the middle of the night and i actually wake up like Iโm not groggy. Yes this been helping me. It only says 6oz, worse min of my life. But it is easy to chug.

Werkt heel goed

Quality product that works
Very happy for the price to actual supplement ratio. Lasts me nearly 8 months for less than $30AU. Worth it for how it makes me feel. Also for you babies who cannot stand the taste. I honestly cannot see why people are bother by the taste. It's fine. It's honestly mild compared to other supplements I've tried. Thank the gods it doesn't taste as bad as I've tasted. Anyway I at least understand since mum can't stand it either. But tolerates it with standard orange juice. It's probably a good thing to taste it anyway to prove it is what it is... The only time I've had Magnesium glycinate that is "foul" was out of cheap capsules from the supermarket that I tried dissolving. NOW's one taste brilliant in comparison.
