Quality is higher than Base SAS Study Guide.Macros the the main thing that is new to me, so I'm reading and rereading those chapters while running the Proc SQL examples.Spending a few months with the study guides is probably the best way to pass the tests.I passed the Base SAS test on the 2nd try. Take the test once as a calibration, then study the weak points.I found that the actual test at the Base level had questions that weren't covered by SAS's sample test or by other sources.

Well written, way better than the prep guide for basic programming. The book is very nicely structured and explains very well. One thing that's missing that I thought the book could have offered is a little more complex set of sample problems. The actual certification exam contains, at least when I took it, macro language-related problems that are way more complex and advanced than the questions in the sections of the book. Other than that, I thought this was a very nice prep guide.

Good Book, the technical data is laid out really well. It focuses on SAS Macro's, SAS SQL, and Proc FCMP. The information definitely prepares you for the SAS Advanced v9 Certification. Makes an excellent reference book too.

This is a very large book. It covers (in a comprehensive way) concepts in SAS macros and SAS Proc SQL. I have not finished my first reading through it yet. It is about 450 pages long, with alot of text on each page. Not a quick read - it takes time to get through each chapter.

Generally good guide book for SAS advance programmer. Very very useful for the exam. Cover 90% topics. need other source for the rest 10%.

The new edition of the Certification Guide is proving to be both a great help in preparing for the exam and as a handy reference guide, especially the section on PROC FCMP.

Great for leaning proc sql!! Just started the macro section which is a little confusion, but i think that is operator error
