Exactly what I was looking for
I was upgrading my desk legs, and I needed to make them longer by 1/2 inch. I didn't like the look of there being a line where you see the the added piece of wood at the bottom being a different kind of wood than the rest of the legs, so I started looking for options to embellish the addition so it looks intentional. I've never worked with brass like this before, so I was thinking of doing a layer of gold leaf or tape, but after some deliberation thought that since it's touching the floor, I could easily scratch the tape or paint with a vacuum when I'm cleaning. So I started looking into working with brass and found this item which was the exact size I needed and this was so much cheaper than all the other options I came across. It took a little bit of trial and error to learn how to bend and cut it. It bends pretty easily, but to keep it in place I had to glue it and clamp it, which helped it hold it's shape. Making 90 degree corners wasn't the easiest, but I just tried my best and in the end it worked out for my needs. For cutting I scored it with a sharp blade and then kept gently bending the cut up and down until it broke. Considering this is the first time I've worked with brass like this and I don't have any fancy tools, I'm very happy with how it turned out!

Better Picture Needed
An actual picture of the product would be helpful. I misread the description. That was my fault. However, it might work out better than what I had in mind. You get two 1/4 inch pieces and two 1/2 inch pieces, all 12 inches long. Seem easily bendable, yet still sturdy which is what I need for a cosplay costume.
