Soft
Took a long time to come but worth waiting for. No problems with bristles coming out.

Amazing brush
Amazing brush. Soft on the skin and lathers quite nicely. Over the course of the last month I’ve lost little to no hairs from this brush. Worth the investment. I imagine it will provide years of reliable use.

It's a good brush. It's no better than a $15-20 brush.
I like that this brush has a slightly taller handle so it's less likely to get your fingers covered in lather while building and then applying. That's about the extent of why anyone would or should pay this much money for a shaving brush. I have been using an $11 shaving brush for the last two years. It too is 100% badger hair The hair / bristles in this brush are no softer, nor any better at building lather than the cheap brush. I've also lost nearly as many hairs out of this brush in the first two uses as I've lost out of the cheap brush in 2 years. The stand it comes with is worthless. It's plastic and has no weight. When you want to pick up the brush the stand comes with it. It doesn't slide in and out easily. It actually sits down in the stand, so you have to lift it up to the bristles / hairs in order to get it out of the stand, thus requiring two hands every time you want to pick up the brush. One to hold the brush and the other to hold the stand. I got a cheap metal brush / razor stand in part of a $9 shaving kit that came with a little travel brush and a shaving bowl. That cheap stand is metal, hefty, and stays behind on the counter when I pick up the brush. Getting past the fact that it's priced 3x what it should be, it does work well. Soak it, soften the hair / bristles, and then put it to work. It builds a good lather. The taller handle does help keep your fingers out of the bowl and away from the lather so you don't get slick finger and drop anything.

It’s soft
The picture used to describe the product is a bit misleading. The picture the sellers use show what appears to be the shaving brush having long badger hair. The Parker-shaving brush (shown on left) has hair length of 2”, on the right is an off brand synthetic brush with hair length of 2 1/2” which I bought for travel. I am using the off brand brush simply as reference to compare length of hair. The badger hair on the Parker brush is short and dense and overall feels stiff when applying shaving foam because it doesn’t spread open much when pressing against your face. The shaving brush I replaced with this one also had longer badger hair and gave a better shaving experience because of it. If this had longer hair I would give it 5 stars, it gets 3 for softness and density. The stand it comes with is garbage, it is very difficult to snap the brush off of it and you have to use a lot of force to push the brush back in the stand which is inconvenient when actually using it. It puts up a fight. Overall it’s an ok brush.

Silvertip is the way to go!
I already had a pure badger hair shaving brush and now wanted a top shelf brush, also needed a mug length handle, so this was the one I hoped would be perfect. Well it is and I got it on a sale and special by the maker! What a fantastic brush I could not ask for better, so much better than my pure hair brush I would recomend this brush to anyone who wants to brush shave or wants an upgrade. If you start with this quality a brush you will not know the value because you are starting at the top!
