Really useful tool
This is a great tool! I needed to cove a large fence area with chicken wire. Sometimes I would not have the angle just right and would waste a staple. I don't like things to go to waste. I learned very quickly how not to hold the stapless they can cut you. This tool helps to complete my job in a fraction of time. Thank you for coming up with a great tool.Pam

Out performed Dewalts by far
I bought this brand and Dewalt, Used both at same time on a fencing project. This FREEMANS tool so over performed Dewalts I had to toss the Dewalt back in the tool caddy. I would strongly suggest anyone looking for this type of tool to NOT waste money on other brands!

Do the job, but staples sometimes stick in the slide
Got for making venison summer sausage. Work just fine when the hog rings advance in the slide. However, more often than not you have to release the spring and reinsert after each use to advance the string of rings to the end of the unit. Would be nice if they came with instructions on how to load. Had to look on the internet to figure out how to release the spring and slide in a row of hog rings.

Not a great product
1st, the rings are very lightweight and not especially sturdy. I suppose they're fine for light duty projects.AndThe working part of the pliers bent and quit working. I used another pliers to straighten the bent parts but expect the problem to repeat.

Poor design, difficult to use
I bought this for sealing sausage bags, And my main gripe has to do with the gap to put the ring on. It is really hard to get the rings totally around the bag, not pleasant to use, and the handles slip making it more difficult.

but it was super easy to use once that was done
It took me a couple minutes to figure out how to add the rings, but it was super easy to use once that was done.
