How do you stop them from moving when laid on gravel?

Unless you cement them in, I don't think you can. I have mine on a membrane with slate chippings round them. However they are heavy and so far haven't moved. If they are on top of gravel then they have a surface traction underneath so doubtful they will stay in place unless you can scoop the gravel out from under them and have them dropped in the recess.
