My 8 year old grandson asked me to bake his birthday cake, he wanted chocolate and white cake. I immediately remembered the checkerboard cake pans I had years ago. So I ordered new pans. The big disappointment was that there was no recipe. (My old one came with a recipe.) I googled and found a recipe. The plastic gizmo is more difficult to work with than the metal one was. Bottom line though it all worked out. The cake was a success.

The ring needs to be cleaned after filing each cake pan. I purchased additional sets to make the process of filling the pans easier.

I bought this to divide white, orange, and yellow cake batter for a candy corn pattern cake. I placed the plastic divider in coated cake pan, poured batter into the sections I wanted, to create the candy corn pattern, and then I took it out and baked the cake. Worked like a charm. Easy to use. Easy to clean. Easy to store. Can’t wait to try other things with it.

love these pans, we got them so we can make a fancier cake once in a while, there are 3 pans in the box and 1 divider to make the checkerboard look, nice nonstick pans, easy to clean and the company is well known. I recommend this product.

I made a cake with these the other day, didn’t get a chance to take a pic the cake was gone in minutes. I admit having only one of the plastic piece is a bit tedious but i love how the cake turned out. They’re good size pans perfect for a nice 3 layer cake. Good product for good money!

My children were so impressed with their cakes this thing was so super easy to use and even easier to clean after. I wish I would have bought this years ago :)

The pans are made of very thin and light weight metal. Not sure how long the nonstick coating will last. For the time being they are serving the purpose for which I bought them.
