Works great in a full tower case
While it is perfectly possible and sometimes preferable to simply purchase a large strand of LEDs, cut them to length, and attach the necessary connectors, I had plenty of room in my computer case and did not feel like spending extra on ordering additional adapters, so managed to make these work almost flawlessly. By utilizing an adapter to plug into molex power (purchased separately from Amazon and included in a previous review), I was able to power these directly inside my case. These are also perfect for those individuals that do not have the knowledge about cutting there own LED strands or are simply uncomfortable doing so. Additionally, the colors can be changed or even various actions performed by the lights with the included remote! I found this feature particularly useful as I simply was not sure how everything would look when complete and this gave me the flexibility that I needed. Additionally, all the connectors were already included to connect each of the four, one foot strands of RGB lights together, meaning no other purchases unless the molex adapter is needed as mentioned earlier. I highly recommend these items as they worked great, however, I want to also mention some considerations while installing this item: 1. Each strand contains it's own double sided tape to be able to affix it directly to the items desired. Even though I put it into a brand new case, I did have some slight difficulty keeping the adhesive sticking in some areas, though, admittedly, I did not attempt to wipe down the surface ahead of time. They also include additional adapters that can be used to mount the LEDs that also use double sided tape should that be necessary. 2. Before installing, it is a good idea to attach all the strands together and test them out. I ran into an issue in which I accidentally installed a connector or two backwards (which is possible) and resulted in some strands not working initially. Again, this is more on me than on a problem with the manufacturer. Simply keep an eye on how each strand is connected as there is a little arrow on one side to show the correct positioning. Doing so will save some headaches later! 3. As the remote is IR, a direct line of sight is likely necessary in order to use the remote. Keep this in mind when installing, especially as I did inside a computer case. Formulating a plan as to how this will be installed will allow you to change the lights on the fly without dismantling wherever these are installed. (For me, I actually put the receiver in an open fan port on the top of my pc case. It allows me to change the color when I want and is hidden behind a grill, so is not even remotely visible to others). In the end, I am perfectly happy with these and will likely utilize these or another Hitlights product based off of my experience when I have a need to use them in the future, in computer cases, or throughout the house.

Aquarium backlight for the win!
Very easy to install. I placed all four strips on a narrow piece of wood and placed it behind my 48" aquarium. Perfect brightness and the range of color options was a bonus for me. When the day comes that I get another tank, I'll definitely be getting another set.

Reliable LEDs strip set well manufactured.
I bought the product for kitchen cabinet under lighting and for TV backlight. Overall: The LED strip are of good quality with decent flexibility, the luminosity is really good and the controller can adjust the brightness in a comfortable way. The controller is quite small easy to conceal under the cabinets. Experience for kitchen cabinet: The LED strip are of perfect size for under cabinet. You should consider 1 strip for a single door cabinet and 2 for a double door to have a homogenous light distribution. My cabinet are made out of 3 different blocks accross the room and it is impossible to pass wire from one block to another without displaying ugly cables. But with multiple kit you can actually have multiple controller and with 1 single remote you can control all the controller at the same time. I found that to be an awesome capabilities for my use case. ( I can see some use case where it could be a problem though.) TV Experience: The TV mounting is very easy, you will need more than one set if you have a TV 55" or more ( at least 2 set), you will need also some extension to connect the different side and in my case the cable were to small to fit each corner of the TV. If you have concealed cable running on the wall to your TV, you will need a DC cable extension to link the controller on the TV to the AC/DC power adapter. Finally, I was expecting to have the dark blue color to be bright enough for that use, but it's not and I had to fall back on the Cyan, I guess it's more of taste rather than a fail of the product. Pros: - Really good LED light strip - 1x Remote to control all the controller - The power adapter does not heat at all within the Cons: - The double sided tape to stick the strip is really not strong enough and you will need to buy a 3M stick double sided tape roll or some LED mounting hardware (both are pretty cheap ($5~$8) but I wish HitLights would have included something adequate from the start. - For TV backlight use, the cable provided are way to short to make it around your TV and with only 1 set you will do only 3 sides of your TV at best not the full TV.

Really easy plus RF control is great
Installed these into a display cabinet to provide light. Was very easy to attach and install. I had to drill a bit larger of a hole (1/2 inch) to insert the attaching male/female wire connector - but a very minor issue. Just make sure the small arrows line-up. You can space the lights out or place them together per your need. I put the lights together and used the extra connectors so that I did not require an extension as that plus the 6 foot electrical line from the 110 volt power adaptor gave me plenty of line to my electrical outlet behind the cabinet. These are very cool. They use little electricity, are very bright, light weight and the adhesion works perfect. Make sure the alignment is good as the adhesive backing sticks well. You can remove and replace, but I tried to get it right the first time and measured so that I just peeled and stuck to the top of the inside of the cabinet. Th BEST feature along with the multiple light options and multiple colors is the RF (radio frequency) transmitter. This allows off/on operation and adjustment without a direct line-of-sight to the light sensor control. I can turn on and adjust without facing a certain director or have to expose the sensor which makes installation very easy and cosmetically much better. Used for a couple of weeks no with no problems. I will be purchasing at least two more sets for another project. Excellent product.

Excellent, perfectly suited for their intended use.
I purchased these LED strips to accent a new PC I built recently, and they have done an excellent job so far. I did have a minor issue with the adhesive not holding on vertical surfaces, so I contacted the seller about the issue. They were very easy to work with and helped me get the issue resolved without any hassle on my part. Overall, 5/5 would purchase again. Pros: The strips are sized perfectly for adding accent light to a PC. Having 4 one foot sections is way easier to work with than trying to use a single long strip or building/soldering them yourself. I tried the remote control through the glass side panel of my case and it worked perfectly. I currently have the lights plugged into the Aura RGB header on the motherboard to control them that way. This also works without issue. This kit includes everything you would need to wire a PC up for lighting including enough extension cables to wire everything in so it looks nice. Cons: As I said, I had a minor issue with the lights not holding on vertical surfaces. This was solved by using some double sided mounting tape, which has held well. I am not entirely sold on using the included clips. The adhesive does seem stronger, but it created a 'speed bump' looking bubble over where the clip was, causing a part of the strip itself to lose contact with the case. These bumps were always the first place to lose their grip before I used the double sided tape. Other: I also have some LED lights around my desk that has been installed for a while. It is the same type that is sold in 15 ft rolls that you can find all over on Amazon. The wiring for the LED strips I already had and these were different, so that when I tried to wire them into a single controller and power supply the blue and green channels were reversed. So if I had full green on my old LED's it would have full blue on the new ones inside the case. This isn't something that the seller can control, nor is it something I thought to ask before purchasing, but it is something to consider. Oddly enough, because only the blue and green channels are reversed, full red works fine. I was able to solder in a wire a crossover for the blue and green where the new LEDS are wired in and after that the colors matched without issue.

You get what you pay for
Purpose: bought light strip for small home server rack. There were alot of reviews warning about the adhesive, but I took the risk. First everybody is right, even though I cleaned the area, the adhesive did not stick. So I went and bought some two sided tape and so far so good. Second issue: the adapters that join the lights do not stay connected very well. There is no locking clip or anything. You just insert Male ends to female ends. As I tried to install the lights, a strip would fall off and disconnect constantly. I ended up having to use electrical tape to keep the strands together. Once I got the strips installed, with two sided tape and electrical tape. I grabbed the remote and felt like Chevy Chase in the movie, National Lampoons Christmas, when he plugged in the lights and that feeling of accomplishment. Of course the first time they didnt work because I got the wrong polarity on one of the strands 2nd time was the charm though. The remote worked great as long as the IR sensor was in view. They were very bright and you can change colors and change light brightness. One last thing, everytime I plugged in the power adapter I noticed a spark. At first I thought it was a grounding issue but I tested that and I found no issue with my APC surge protector. So I am a little wary about it but since these Led strips are low voltage I didnt seem it being to much of an issue. If the company would improve the connectors and better adhesive it wouldn't be a bad product, but for the price I guess they will do. UPDATE: Their customer service contacted me and stated that they are working on improving the 3M tape on their product. They also apologized for the trouble I had gone through and gave me a full refund. Because of their friend customer service I will give them another star for that.
