Works WELL, rather. It's a bit awkward in my hand but not uncomfortable or painful to use. The blades are nice and sharp and so far have no problem going through some thick cardboard. It's very easy to line up the blade to a marked line and keep cutting. Admittedly I've only used it for straight lines so far so I don't know how angles or curves would work, but I don't use that too much myself. It helped me cut down some pieces I've been meaning to cut for a while now quite quickly. Personally I find it helpful especially for cutting in irregular settings. My "office" is my bedroom so half my crafts are done o my bed--not the easiest place to use a cutting mat/razor blade. Helps when I need to get more horizontal without having to stop the project.

Take this review how you will. These Canary Cardboard Scissors are FAN-TAS-TIC!!! They were EXACTLY what I needed to properly dispose of ALL the cardboard boxes I had accumulated over the Christmas holiday. THESE scissors worked PERFECTLY to reduce ALL the cardboard Amazon sent my purchases in into little tiny pieces that easily fit in my kitchen trash can. They cut through even the thickest cardboard without much effort. And they are SHARP! (As the scars on my fingers can attest.) Which bothers me...why the hell does Amazon send small purchases in such MASSIVE boxes? Why is Amazon so wasteful with their packaging materials? I would rather get my stuff in the right sized box with little to no filling than the HUGE boxes with the yards and yards and yards of bubble wrap that ALL of my Amazon purchases have arrived in over the last couple of months. STOP WASTING YOUR PACKAGING MATERIALS AMAZON!!! I will definitely recommend these scissors to others and will buy again (although I really don't think I'll have to - these REALLY seem like a high quality product.)

I bought these more than 3 years ago to cut cardboard, and they do a wonderful job at it. But I've also found they are good for everything. I especially like them to cut up a tossed salad in a small container. Maybe it is the way they are shaped, but they are so easy to use, and make it a chopped salad with no effort. I literally use them for everything, including some really heavy duty stuff. I have significant hand arthritis and they cut heavy things unlike anything else I have. They have also lasted a long time with no bending or rust or anything. I hope they last forever, but if not I'll buy another pair.

This thing is nice...VERY nice! I own an online greeting card and art print business and at times I have to include various pieces of cardboard in my packaging to protect larger pieces. I have the scarred knuckles and fingertips to prove how annoying cardboard cutting can be. I prefer using shears over blades because I want a clean straight cut to the cardboard when I include them in my packaging. I need the cardboard for protection but I also need to have it look nice too! Know what I mean? This pair of scissors are PERFECT! They are curved in such a way so that when you cut your hand is ALWAYS above the cardboard and your knuckles are kept safe, especially when cutting down large boxes and trying to get in between the tough corner or bent spots. The grip on the handle feels nice, the blades are sharp (for now I guess...we'll see how long they stay like that). Right now they cut through even the thickest cardboard like butter. It isn't the most heavy duty pair of shears like what you would find in someone's garage, but they are pretty substantial and sturdy. I would highly recommend. It is a must if you cut as much cardboard as I do. Save your knuckles! Buy these scissors!!!

Tried cutting through some tough shipping boxes with these, and had to put a lot of pressure on them to complete the cuts. The offset angle actually doesn't help the leverage needed on tough cardboard or on some of the anti theft bubble packs one can pick up in a warehouse store. Scissors held together with a rivet meaning that it's harder to take them apart to re-sharpen them. I prefer the old time adjustable screw to tighten the two pieces. Don't see that much any more. Overall a four star, had hoped they would turn out to be a 5, but not quite.

Well made, works as intended to cut corrugated cardboard. I would highly recommend this.

Was amazed at the ease the scissor cut through cardboard.; like a hot knife through butter or regular scissors cutting paper. Would definitely recommend for any craft enthusiasts!

I build huge cardboard box forts for my kids all the time and these scissors have been life-altering. They easily cut any kind of cardboard you can throw at them including corrugated cardboard. Don't expect to do any fancy shapes, but I've used them to make curves and circles and it's way easier than using regular scissors and obviously much more precise and controllable than a utility knife. They do hurt my hand a bit after extended use but that's not really any different from what would happen with normal scissors.

They are just what I needed to cut up cardboard for art use. Pricey but I couldn't find anything else like this pair and imagine they will be the only pair I will need. For ease of use...worth the money.

Maybe there is a learning curve to using this, because everyone here loves it but me. These scissors have large handles, and they feel loose in the hand, so I feel the grip is not very good when cutting. Also, the blades do not open very wide, so cutting requires a lot of effort because more cutting movements are needed. Secondly, when cutting cardboard, the edges get pinched, so the cut is not clean. It is safer compared to a normal cutter, but for cardboard, a cutter gives a cleaner cut.

Scissors are scissors, right?! Wrong! I recently bought these after struggling to cut up some corrugated cardboard boxes for a school art project. When I tell you that these made light work of an otherwise tricky and frustrating process! The angled head of the blades really does make a difference in cutting through thicker material. Very happy with this purchase and annoyed at myself for not getting them sooner.
