Vic Firth American Classic 2B Drumsticks

The Vic Firth American Classic 2B sticks are the best drum sticks I’ve used so far. They feel very consistent in weight and balance, which makes them reliable for both practice and performance. The durability is strong, and they hold up well under extended playing without chipping or wearing down too quickly. The grip and feel are comfortable, giving good control and response across different playing styles. Overall, these have become my go-to sticks. They feel solid, reliable, and well-made, and they perform consistently every time I use them.

I was trying to order 5bs but I ended up with 2b. I have meaning to try some 2b sticks from VIc FIrth for a while. They feel great perfectly balanced. I am still trying to figure out how to get the tones I like out of my drums with the added mass and so far it sounds much differant than the 5bs I was playing. Great sticks. You cannot go wrong with Vic Firth. To me they are the only stick.

My 9 year old is starting drum lessons and these were the brand his teacher recommended. I haven't tried others but these are well balanced and are very hard. I hadn't even thought of the toughness until my son tried to crack it over his knee and commented how hard they were. Thanks for making them so strong.

I use two different sticks when I play. Currently they are the Vater Fusion wood tip hickory model, and the Vic Firth 2B. To be honest, Vater sticks have been my go to sticks for quite some time, but I was looking for a heavier stick for slower and heavier tunes where you just want a little more wood impacting your drums and cymbals. The Vic Firth 2B's are well balanced and work extremely well for music with rudimental passages. We play Paul Simon's "50 Ways..." and these give a great rebound for linear patterns and double stroke rolls (yes I opted for open vs closed). While I do believe they are more durable than a thinner stick, this is more of a technique issue rather than how much wood you hold in your hand. If you chop at your cymbals at odd angles and play through your drum heads, you can still crack a larger stick like this. Anyways, the point is that these sticks will hold up really well and I would highly recommend them a home in your stick bag. I bought them on sale here for under seven bucks, so watch for the price to drop and get a few pair!

Drum instructor requested this size/weight for practice. They were exactly what he wanted us to get & work exactly as you would expect. My son likes the weight & feel of them for practice. Good value for the price

I bought these because I read that John Bonham used 2b sticks. They're pretty comfortable and you don't have to work hard to get a loud sound. That being said I mostly use them on my practice pad to build strength and stick with my 5a or jazz sticks when I'm at my drum set. They have nice rebound on the practice pad.

If you want to develop hand speed i suggests this one because it's bigger and will make the smaller sticks easier to play with. Keep practicing boys!
