Only a little bit more accurate than cheaper scales, but seems to be able to measure down to 10mg with reasonable accuracy, which the cheaper scales can't do.I found that cheaper scales to be very unreliable and play up giving faulty readings from time to time, but this doesn't. Dust seems to get inside the cheaper ones.At first, I thought it wasn't very accurate, but the instructions are poor. Also, they only give you a 100 gram calibration weight. I discovered, though, that you can calibrate it with other sized weights, and when I used a 20 gram calibration weight it was more accurate for small measurements.I think it is a good scale and worth the money if you want reasonable accuracy but can't afford a millgram scale. It will be aprox + & - 3mg at 10 to 20 mg. With my 20mg calibration weight the most it was out was 2mg, but usually it was no more than 1mg out. But cheaper scales can be as accurate as this too, but they are so unreliable.The plastic windshield cover is made of very brittle cheap plastic, though.It's mains operated and doesn't swith itself off which I really like.
