Update: over 1 year later, still shining bright, working as I had hoped. Good product! Original review: Took my Christmas lights down, hung 7 of these on my rain gutters. They’ve been up over a month now & they are working just as I expected. They are not super bright, but I just wanted lights to highlight the front of our house to make it more visible from the street. I took another commenter’s advice & placed 2 layers of clear spray paint over the top to make them more weather durable. I also added a short piece of small oak baseboard trim to the gutter mount for stability. So far, this has been a good purchase with light lasting until sunrise. I’ve had several comments on how good they look on our house!

These lights are wonderful. Very easy to assemble: all screws fit perfectly. Use a phillips head screw driver. They came on as soon as they were turned on. Note that because most people will install these in the daylight, they will look as tho they have gone off even tho turned on. This is because the solar array has to be covered (in the dark) for the light to come on. Remember these lights come on when it gets dark and go off when it gets light. Likewise, if you have a security light that shines on them they will not work. In any case, we installed yesterday. Hubbie put a nut (metric) on the end on the screw tightner to give a little extra surface when tightening onto the gutter. Worked like a charm. They came on when it got dark last night and were still glowing this morning when it got light out. The light itself is not terribly bright, but washes the area with enough light to accent the side of a house and/or pathway. They are perfect. We are ordering 8 more!

Purchased four of these lamp to place primarily on my rain gutter. Easy to assemble. Once all four were ready for installation I made an inspection on the solar panel to ensure the lens were sealed. In the past I had some solar lamps that were not sealed around the edges of the solar panels thus causing water leakage after a rain storm. Of course the lamps were useless and had to be tossed out. Learning from this flaw, I started to apply clear silicone along the outer edge of the lens to prevent water seepage. These lamps I purchased appeared to be well sealed (So I'll try them out and see what happens after several rain storms). The first thing I noticed about the attachment (the part that is attached to the gutter) is the way they are design. My rain gutter is the standard aluminum with a folded lip on the outside edge (nothing fancy). When I tried to place the lamp on the gutter I noticed no matter how many times I tried to secure the lamp on the gutter it didn't fit nor stay. Even the bolt that you turn to tighten is not long enough. After standing on the ladder on a hot day wondering who design this fixture I finally decided to cut off a piece of a lath (wood) and place it as a spacer so that I can tighten the bolt to the gutter. Maybe after I cool down I can come up with a better solution rather than return the lamp. Last but not least, I walked outside after it got dark to inspect the brightness. What you see on the advertised picture is not what you get. The glow is soft, but not as bright as I hope. For the time being, I'm satisfied with the product as it is better than what I replaced. I gave a four star rating because the part that supposedly attach to the gutter edge is not adjustable to secure to the gutter without adding a makeshift spacer and not as bright as viewed on the picture. Will I purchase this product again? Maybe, I want to see how it performs this summer...blueghost

I bought a 4 pack of these lights back in 2019. They've been attached to my gutter, overlooking my deck since then. So for four years now, through spring storms, summer heat, winter bitter cold, snow, ice, wind, rain they have yet to fail. After 4 years, they no longer stay lit all night (they still last about 4-5 hours of darkness), so I'm considering replacing with the same product. And they put out a good amount of usable light that created the perfect ambiance at night when I had guests, or needed to walk around behind my house after dark. Much better quality and brightness than the cheap ones that you stake in your flowerbed or walkway. And the ability to swivel these is very handy as well. The only thing I would like to see improved upon is the included clamp for the gutter. It doesn't hold well. I wound up putting a small piece of wood under the wing nut so it would hold more tightly. But even without the extra piece of wood, it stayed on the gutter. It just sagged a bit.

Only lasted 14 months. 3 out 4 has died. These were great when they worked. Bright enough and battery life lasted long.

These things have held up really well. I bought a second box in case they went out but haven’t had to replace any of them. They hold a charge for a long time. Great value for the money.

These solar lights don’t hold a charge for more than two hours. One lamp works well, one doesn’t work at all the other two work minimally. Very disappointed in the quality of these lights.

We don't get a ton of sunshine here in northeast Ohio, so I wasn't expecting much when I first ordered these. However, THESE LIGHTS ARE GREAT! I've had them for two years now. Not only have they held up during the winter months (I keep them attached to the gutters) but they work with a minimum amount of sunlight. Now, if we get a few consecutive days where it's heavily overcast, the lights are affected and will not stay on all night, be rather dim, or not come on at all. However, most of the time they work great.
