Back-Over Handgun Hangers

Started using the Gun Storage Solutions holders and increased the capacity of my safe tremendously. On the shelves with pistol holders on the underside, this top side kickstand more than doubles the shelf capacity. Where my shelf is not wide enough for a 6 pistol rack and can only fit a 4x rack, I have 8 of these on the shelf - of course the pistols are narrow and fit as well, with revolvers I still get 6 across the shelf without anything have to run against each other. On shelves with no built-in holders, the over/under stands are even better. The kick stands are easy to install, although you will probably need to remove the shelf as it attaches to the back side. The over/under holders slip onto the front side of the shelf. Both the kick stand and over/under are sturdy enough to hold my S&W N frame revolvers and 1911's with no wobble whatsoever. Highly recommended.

Got a set of 2 of these to see how they would work. Been trying to organized my safe. I was nicely surprised with how well these little hangers work. Of course for the smaller caliber guns it worked fine, but i hung my friends Ruger Super Black Hawk .44 mag stainless 9inch barrel on it, and you know what, it actually held it, I could see it was a bit heavy for it but did well keeping it in place. So overall a nice way to organize your handguns keeping them all upright and side by side. The Hanger is rubber coated and pretty strong, still not sure if this is exactly what I need but its a nice product, I may try the racks next though, I guess its a personal preference on how you want your safe organized.

works well on a 3/4" shelf

Let me start off by saying I have a 40 S&W 3.8" XDM and these sadly will not work in my gun cabinet. It's not because of this product but is the fault of my cabinet. I have a fairly shallow cabinet, only 9.5" thick inside (it's for rifles and shotguns) and on top of that the shel inside is about 3" away from the backside. So, the XDM sticks out too far on this holder to close the door. Now for a product review. - Make sure you note that this fits over the backside of the shelf, not the front like other styles I've seen - It fits my 40 S&W barrel just fine - It has a rubber like coating around it so I am not afraid of it scratching the barrel or damaging the rifling - The part that goes inside your barrel is 2 3/4" long (not sure if that matters to you but thought I'd include it) - You pretty much need a 7/8" or 1" thick self to make it fit properly (my shelf is 3/4" carpeted and it slides off when I try to put the gun on it) - This only holds one gun over the top of the shelf each (some styles hold two, one above and one below - Wire is about 3/16 thick (bigger than 8ga wire, I don't have a bigger wire gauge to get an exact size sorry) Overall I think this wouldn't be a bad option if this is what your looking for. I personally though each one held 2 guns from the picture, I was wrong. And like I said it won't work for me. But all in all it seems like a good product. Just make sure you know it will work first.

Sturdy for standard size pistols such as Glocks, 1911s, HK, etc. These are made for single pistol use only and not the dual over/under hangers. The problem with over/under hangers is you need to have both pistols or just the bottom for it to work properly. If you try to use just the top the pistol will fall over as there is no bottom weight to counter it from tipping. That is why I choose to go with this design. It will hold your pistol upright and will not fall over.

Very durable nylon coating does not mark or damage barrels or rifling. Makes a lot more room available as they dont have to lay flat and can be used on the same shelf long guns are utilizing.

These hangers keep my handguns upright and that's good. I thought I was buying a similar product to the Gun Storage Solutions Over Under Handgun Hanger-2 Pack, a product that would hold 2 guns per hanger, a total of 4 guns, thereby justifying the cost. Instead, I get a product that only accommodates one handgun per hanger and that is over priced... which brings me to my next point. I paid $17 for these hangers and by the time I received them (PRIME 2-day) the price had dropped to $10.50!! Talk about BS!! Bottom line: Do they 'hang' handguns? yes. Could they be more sturdy? yes. Will I buy more? No. Am I pissed that I paid $17.00 only to find that the price dropped nearly 40% 2 days later? Damn right!
