Gevalia Ground Coffee, House Blend Decaf Medium Roast, 12 oz Bag

Great flavor, & best deal going for a high quality decaf. Recommend.

I love this decaf as well as the house blend with caffeine. I usually drink half caffeine and half decaf to lower the caffeine. It is smooth and not bitter or too acidic. I use a french press for hot or iced coffee. I do filter the iced coffee through a melita cone and filter because this coffee is so very finely ground to get rid of the sludge. I use a Bodum Iced Coffee maker and refrigerate 12-20 hours or so before pressing down and then fiter into the carafe. I used to drink Gevalia coffee years ago when it was mail order only and decided to try it again when I couldn't have caffeine because of a medication. Other coffee brands seemed to acidic so I tried Gevalia again. This is available from Walmart too, but Amazon is more reliable for deliveries.

Smooth blend, medium color and strength, hint of nuts. Ranks in my top 3 picks for every day good coffee. The regular House Blend is also an exemplary coffee with a hint of caramel.

Sometimes you just want decaf in the evening or whenever. Gevalia decaf has a very nice flavor. On occasion I will mix decaf and regular coffee just to cut back on the caffeine content. You can also get this in the 12 oz. size. Nice to have on hand.

After switching to decaf about six months ago, I’ve been on the hunt for something that actually tastes like coffee. This one delivers! And for the price, I will choose it over Peet’s Major Dickinsons (which is also very good). Definitely recommend.

Not cheap but good coffee.

I have been buying Gevalia Traditional Roast for probably 40 years and continue to love it. I have recently tried the decaf (ground) and find it problematic for use with my Moccamaster coffee maker because the grinds are too fine and the drip doesn’t drain fast enough causing the filter basket to overflow.
