Harbinger Padded Leather Head Harness, brown

I bought this for obvious reasons, to isolate my neck for strength training. I had never done neck exercise apart from bridges, so when I started a new workout regimen (GSLP) that required this, I didn't balk at the price. For as inexpensive as this is, it's very well made.The leather is firm and thick, but not rigid or incapable of being broken in. The inside of the cap is fitted with soft wool or wool-like material, which keeps the device tight to your skull without discomfort.The chain is very industrial, it feels very strong as do the links and the fastening mechanism. The length is adequate to put quite a few plates on it without issue.The attaching strap for fastening is velcro, but it's also very well made, and sewn/stiched into the leather, as are all the other components. The stitching is heavy and I don't anticipate any breaks or tears. The velcro has not come undone nor do I think it will because the straps on the side bear the weight, the velcro strap just keeps the cap fastened to your forehead.Over all I am ecstatic with this purchase, it's extremely comfortable, well made and I have no doubts it will stand the test of time. I feel confident in recommending this to anyone who has been looking at such an implement.

It has a Velcro strap on the front of the head band that makes it more comfortable than older versions. The leather is thick which looks like good quality, I used saddle soap to soften the leather this makes it more flexible so with age it will bend rather than crack whch lengthens the life of the leather (just be sure to follow the saddle soap directions carefully if its your first time using it), I was careful not to get it on the faux sheep skin that actually touches me when I am using it. Shipped faster than stated. Worth the money.

It took a few uses to break in the leather. At first it was stiff but now it works great now. I use this every time I work my traps. I catch a lot of weird looks and the occasional comment because most people don't work their neck. Great piece of equipment. Comfortable and sturdy.

I've had this harness for almost 10 years now with fairly frequent use. This thing is durable, and I expect it to last a lifetime. The leather is thick and strong, and I don't see any way that this thing could break. The only issue, and reason I'm giving it 4 instead of 5 stars, is because on the inside the bolt holding the harness together catches your hair (if you have hair) and it is extremely painful when it happens. I had to put tape over the bolt to prevent the hair from catching, but sometimes the tape falls off and have to replace it. That is my only grievance with it. Otherwise this thing is durable and very well built

Just to rehighlight what other reviewers have said:Pros: Great quality product - It doesn't feel flimsy and will probably outlast me.Cons: The leather that runs down to the chain and weight does rub on your ears. However, unless you have really sensitive skin on your ears or they stick out, it's really not that big a problem.If you want to work out your neck, this is the ticket!

I’m use one of these for 20+years. When my original went missing, I immediately reordered. Problem #1: took 3 months & 2 cancellations/ reorders to finally receive.Item received was as expected, extremely well made with one VERY UNWELCOME DESIGN CHANGE: original version closure was strong steel buckle. New model closure is VELCRO. If your head is larger than 7 3/4, like mine, Velcro WILL NOT Hold. Severe injury risk.Fix? Has required driving a rivet through strap & closure. Reinforced by superglue and super strong tape. A necessary pain in the butt that eliminates possibility of future adjustments (Leather does stretch…)If your head is normal, no issue.

Head harness for strengthening neck. Quality product. My head is larger than adjustment strap. Simple and cheap moving strap forward at shoe shop. Adjustment strap perfect for someone wearing 7&3:8 hat size. I wear a 7&3/4 hat. No problem and fixed while I waited. Well worth purchase price

This harness does almost nothing right and has two major flaws that cannot be overlooked. First off it's not very adjustable and often fits uncomfortably. It can hold weight but hurts your ears badly when moving head up and down you feel this pinching burn on both your ears that can't be avoided. I want to love this harness but wish it would be more comfortable and wouldn't hurt your earsI would give this a 2/10 I just wish those two things mentioned would have been fixed on the harness. It's extremely painful as other reviewers noted and not thay durable either as I was doing nec curls and the entire strap came off.Look elsewhere for your neck harness needs

Its a great head harness my only comment would be that if you have a large head like myself at 59cm (no idea what that is in freedom units), it's at the outer most limit for the Velcro and doesn't stay done up all the time.
