My neighbors aren't pleased, but I sure am!
I'm almost upset with myself a little bit after purchasing these, because I now realize how much earlier in life I should have prioritized purchasing good stereo equipment. I never realized how much music was in the music I listened to until now.One of the problems we run into in the current state of retail stores is that the listening room for equipment either no longer exists, or the options are limited to big box brands only like Polk, Klipsch, Bose, Pioneer, Sony, etc. At least this is the way it was for me. I would have had to spend a month waiting on local music stores to find demo pairs of what I wanted to hear.It seems like the barrier for entry with speakers now is more based in research and not money that can be spent, as I couldn't have even discovered brands like HSU, SVS, and Bic without spending a week or two poking around audiophile circles on the internet. When it came down to it, I was torn between Bic, HSU, Chane, and SVS. When I started googling around for people complaining about SVS speakers, I just couldn't find any rage from the internet. People speak highly of the quality for the cost, and very highly of the customer support staff.I don't exactly have the best trained ear for an audiophile review, so take this with a grain of salt, but I can't find any problems with these speakers. I currently have the SB-2000 sub on order, which should arrive today, but the rest of the setup is a Modi-2 DAC to a Behringer A500 amp feeding two of these Prime towers; I'll probably pick up a preamp soon for the single volume switch. The bass produced by the towers themselves is formidable, however not enough to forgo a dedicated sub in a larger room. The highs are nice and mellow, as even the music I was scared to listen to (for the life of my ears) came through high and clear.Right now these are packed into my tiny apartment as we wait out the two months until we can move into our house; This speaker and amp combination would easily get the police called if I put the amp anywhere past 50% volume. If you have $1,000 to spend on a pair of speakers, this should be in your top 3 choices, if not just outright what you should buy.

Blown Away!
I have only been listening to the Prime Tower speakers for a few days and I must say I am stunned! I did expect a decent level of sonic performance but I did not expect what I heard. So far I have been listening to piano, strings and vocals along with the requisite orchestral pieces. I am using an Oppo 203 transport as the source for both SACDs and CDs along with the Yamaha A-S801 integrated amp. The speakers are operating in my 12’ x 22’ audio room. So far I believe these speakers represent a fantastic value. On all material so far they disappear into the room and imaging, sound stage, and detail are superb! Get a pair!

Sound quality unbeatable until you double the cost!
I cannot say enough good things about these speakers. I auditioned many speakers, and could not find better sounding units for the money. Are there better sounding speakers? Absolutely there are. But you have to spend at least double to beat them. If you are looking for audiophile sound quality without breaking the bank these are your speaker. The highs are bright and crisp without much coloration and no harshness. They play incredibly deep, and hit harder than you can imagine. The bass is controlled, punchy, and full but never gets boomy. They reproduce sound faithfully and are fairly efficient. That last bit are their biggest downfall. They are so faithful that they make poor sources sound poor. It truly is garbage in garbage out. A lot of speakers color the sound with resonances. These do not (which is good). If you bring someone over to show off, make sure you use a high quality source (Blu-ray, CD, high bitrate audio). You will not be disappointed!

I'm pleased with my SVS Prime tower speakers!
I waited some time before I'd post a review... I'd like to share my impressions. These speakers have a very "full" sound to them. My previous main speakers were Canton 2-way speakers, these SVS towers are much fuller sounding. I find myself turning the music up louder and listening longer, which is a great quality from a set of speakers.Another quality I noticed from my previous speaker setup, is the ability to hear closer tones together, an example is when a duet is playing, I can clearly hear the two different voices. This goes the same for various instruments playing the same tones. The resolution is clearer and I can tell the different sounds. The connections in back are standard plugs which accept banana connections or regular wire, and the cabinet is pretty sturdy. One thing to keep in mind, these speakers were designed to be pretty accurate, which means that if you have a poor recording, you will also hear that it's a poor recording. This is one caveat with a good accurate speaker. All in all, if you're looking for a fairly accurate speaker which will shine with great music, the SVS Prime Tower definitely fits the bill.

For the money absolutely the best speakers I have owned
For the money absolutely the best speakers I have owned. I use these for stereo audio recordings... I play vinyl records, CDs, and live streaming from my laptop through a Parasound 2.1 Integrated amp. I live in an apartment so I can't turn the volume too high.. the response from these speakers is remarkable. I can not believe the bass response I get even at moderate volumes. I have a pair of Klipsch Heresey speakers that I love but have to drive them much harder to get the same balanced top to bottom response and that is just to loud for my situation. I'm not saying these SVS Prime speakers are better than the Klipsch, or the Polk or the Martin Logans I have but they are the best at the volumes I must live with in my current quarters.. Also these SVS Primes are very compact in size which makes them very appealing in a smaller setting. I've read that at high volumes these can distort in the higher frequency range... I've not experienced that personally but it is something to keep in mind if you plan on really loud volumes. I have tried many speakers and I've liked them all but none outperform these SVS speakers at modest volumes.
