Don't get me wrong, I really admire the work of Peter Zumthor and Juhani Pallasmaa, but I didn't find this offered anything particularly new to the question of building atmosphere. If you've read other books by Zumthor and Pallasmaa, most of this will be very familiar. Yes, there is a sort-of interesting insight into Zumthor's studio environment and design-by-model-making process, but I'm not sure this justifies the cost of the book.
