Sport Pet Designs Cat Privacy Tent

While the other reviews of this item are very good, and the humans in our household think this is a wonderful cat toy, none of our kitties seem to agree. We're not sure why, but they've enjoyed the box that it came in more than the tent itself. After a month of owning this, the tent still sits empty. Otherwise, this is a well-made item for the price.

I purchased this to control the flinging of litter, to prevent the smell from escaping all over the room, and to drain out the sound of my fluffy girl scooping and what not. So far this little thing has done a great job; although litter still escapes its not nearly as much as before. I can't smell ANYTHING and before my room would reek of kitty poo any time she'd go. The color is a darker brown like a chocolate brown and the blue is pretty much the same color. Mine DID come with instructions and ALL of the parts so I don't know what happened w/ the people that didn't receive the little step ladder but my cat sure did and its too cute to watch her come out of her little tent and walk down the step stool. Love it

I bought this as a play tent for the cat, and what a hit! The cat absolutely loves to play in his tent. It was simple to put together, is durable and so cute! I didn't use the step, but if I ever change the type of litter box we use, it may come in handy. Fast shipping, well packed, and well made item, can't say enough about how much fun it is to watch the cat play in his new tent!

THE SELLER DID FINE....AMAZON NEGLECTED TO EXPLAIN THAT ONE NEEDS TO BE A WHIZ AT JIG-SAW PUZZLES TO PUT IT TOGETHER. I HAVE ARTHRITIS AND THIS HAD WAY WAY TOO MANY PIECES THAT WAS NOT EXPLAINED IN THE DESCRIPTION. IT JUST STATED "COMPLETE'. YEAH, SO IS A 125 PIECE JIG SAW PUZZLE IN A BOX, BUT I WOULD NOT TACKLE THAT EITHER. I GAVE IT SOMEONE WHO I THOUGHT WOULD PUT IT TOGETHER AND THEY WERE FRUSTRATED JUST LOOKING AT THE TWO BAGS OF MANY PIECES. IT STILL IS SITTING ON THE FLOOR. SHAME ON YOU.I THOUGHT IT WOULD JUST POP OPEN LIKE A SUN VISOR FOR A CAR WINDSHIELD. IT IS APPARENTLY COMPLICATED TO PUT TOGETHER AND SHOULD BE STATED IN THE DESCRIPTION. 2 BAGS OF PARTS PLUS THE TENT...SHAME ON U!

I ordered this for an alternative to the big cat boxes that tend to be expensive. I have to replace them every so often because they get disgusting with use and are pricey. This seemed like a good idea but since I also have dogs, it didn't work out too well. Also, it didn't help with keeping the smell contained. I think they'd be fine for play, but not so much for the kitty litter.

Some other reviewers here have a very colorful view of this cat tent.Here's why I purchased it. It was $4 and I was trying to control litter fly-aways.My only gripe with it is that it was missing a part, but it doesn't matter since I don't really care for the step thing anyway.The only part to this tent that you have to put together is the STEP! The tent itself just pops open, on its own, as soon as you take it out of the packaging.My cat loves the tent, he hopped into it while I was putting together the step (to see if it was worth even using, it having a missing piece made it useless). It fits nicely over his litter box, too. Also allows him enough room to stand and dig and do whatever his business requires - but, comfortably.Still confused as to whether this tent is for you? Ask yourself this. Do you want a tent? Yes? Buy it. Do you want a tent with a step? Yes? Don't buy it.By the way, the step? Not hard to put together. Anyone who's played with tinker toys or those Log Cabin house toys will be able to do this in a snap. Plus, you know, it HAS instructions.

I was cautious at first because of the negative reviews inciting difficulty in assembly and the lack of instruction. I however found it to be just the opposite, it did have instructions and while there are many pieces; assembly becomes intuitive after just a few minutes.I would note, this is not the color in the picture but more of a deep chocolate color, the blue accent does match the pictures however. Either way I'm happy for the cost and function. Our cat monster immediately explored and approved her new dumping grounds.I purchased this item to help control the spread of litter, so far so good. It seems to stay mostly within the confines of the tent relieving the unsightly mess created by the beast, as well as creating a confined cleanup solution. Side note, the step works great!4 stars because I don't know the longevity yet coupled with incorrectly advertising the color.

Set up is simple, but the bottom portion has several parts. It one ignores the plastic parts and add ons, the tent portion itself is pre-assembled and will effortlessly unfold itself into the pictures you see here.For my cats, with or without the bottom portion, they like it.
