MD Building Metal Decor® Stair Edging, Cherry, 1-1/8in x 36in

We purchased these stair edges for a staircase that's as old as my mother. We wanted a neat, clean look and this piece(s) worked out well. We aren't professionals, but these affordable edgings matched quite nicely, went down easy and helps add value to our home. We are very happy with the product.

This trim is a great match for both the “classic” honey oak trim throughout my house and for a slightly lighter laminate flooring. Used as nosing at the top of a carpeted staircase that transitions to the laminate and it looks so good! Did arrive slightly bent in the box, but it was an easy fix to straighten (and you’ll be hammering to install anyways).

Used this at transition at top step of basement stairs. Very pleased with the look as it matches the oak laminate nicely. Bonus was the colored spiral shank nails. I did predrill through the laminate but the nails seem to hold well in the osb subfloor. Highly recommend.

Needed it for a transition from a laminate that meets with a staircase bullnose. Replacing the entire wooden top floor bullnose wasn’t an option, this covered well and completed the look. Since it was a floating floor I didn’t use the screws, instead a heavy construction adhesive, taped down for 24 hours and felt very solid. Satisfied

What a lifesaver!.. I replaced the upper floor of my home with Gunstock colored laminate. The stairs were all finished except the top step and it did not have a bull nose on it. I visited local and online box DIY store and there was nothing and no one had any ideas. I ender up making a wood one but it just didn't look right. I did a search on Amazon and found this one. I was a little unsure of using metal and also the color was cherry and I have gunstock laminate. I ordered it anyway and Man I was glad I did. It cut very easily with tin snips. The provided nails were the same color as the product. It looks and works great. Today I ordered another one for the transition from the lower lever garage stairs to the main floor that I used the same laminate on. I am VERY picky with my DIY products and the finish. I don't mind paying extra for quality because it shows. I would have paid 3x the price for this product.

The product came broken twice and I paid twice for broken parts!! Never sent me a new one and charged me twice!

Bought this protective edger to protect the top of our hardwood floor stairs. A few screws and it was securely in place. With the amount of traffic our stairs had, I just didn't feel safe with adherence type of edging. It was extremely easy to install and looks and feels well made. Too early to see tell how durable it is.

I really like this product. I’ve purchased 5 so far. 3 of this size and 2 smaller ones. The only reason I’m giving it 3 stars is because every time I purchase these I’m missing nails. The last 3 were purchased together, it took 3 months to receive. I didn’t get around to installing them until recently which was past the 30 day return so Amazon won’t do anything. Mind you the plastic packaging was ripped to hell, they weren’t protected by cardboard or anything. The manufacturer was very willing to replace the 9 nails I still need until they seen my Canadian address, they won’t ship to Canada. One of the smaller ones was also missing nails but since we noticed right away Amazon replaced the whole item. Thar was great. Still need 9 matching nails!!!
