Be sure to dry it!
This does the job, but stainless is VERY low quality. I love having a place to put the hot pan lid, but last night I left a drip of water (only 1 small drip, condensed steam) from the lid on it, and I had a rust spot this morning! From 1 drip! So, buy it for functionality, but be sure to wash and dry carefully!

It works
It works for what it's intended to do. It was a little harder to clean which was interesting considering it's stainless steel. Also the rods that stick up can get loose so you have to constantly tighten the nuts underneath, but it does a good job for what it needs to do. I like the little rubber pads on the bottom.

Don't underestimate this item
When it arrived I thought the pkg. size was a joke. It was tiny. The picture makes it look big and sturdy. After assembling the item it was very light and thin. I put a full frying pan glass lid on it expecting it to topple. It is perfectally balanced and secure. Then I put a spoon in the rest. Although it is very small and unassuming it really is sturdy. Highly recommend this item. especially for the price and convienience. And, it looks great with the other stainless steel accents and appliances.

Smaller than It should be, Not for all purposes ...
Smaller than It should be, Not for all purposes, Just for cooking with small amounts, I use the lid rest for my spices tiny spoon cause some lids are a bit heavy on it.

Loose Butterfly Screws at Bottom
Would be a great product but it has two butterfly screws holding the stand up at the bottom. One of them came loose and would not tighten. I figured one tight screw would be enough. But after 3 months of usage the other screw became loose now the stand is flimsy..

Super super super...idustrial
Looks super industrial. Not a pretty thing to have on the stove, but is sure does its job. Super sturdy.

this item must be assembled, and the silicone pads on the bottom fall off. not a quality piece of kitchenware.

Works well
This solved the problem of where to place the lid when cooking in a small kitchen, with a spoon rest to boot. It feels solid and has a bottom surface that keeps it from sliding around. I've propped all size lids on it, including a very large and heavy glass lid, and it did fine. I'm pleased with this purchase and recommend it.
