I am rating this fan three stars for a number of reasons, firstly the fan is really rather good, it has two speeds, both are good at producing a cool breeze and being able to ramp up the power and increase the air flow when you need to is good.The sound of the fan is pretty quiet, obviously when used in a quiet room over night it seems louder than during the day in a busy room, but it is still something that it is possible to sleep through.The instructions are appalling, really badly translated and there are a lot of sentences which don’t make sense and things aren’t fully explained.The fan is not dual power, meaning that it is not battery or mains, you HAVE to run this plugged in. You can get around this if you have a battery power pack, but it would be massively improved if it had rechargeable batteries in its construction.The aroma and humidifier features are not explained well at all and from what i can gather you are expected to drop cool water onto the moving fan blades by a hole in the top of the fan body, not something i want to do when it is plugged in to the mains. The aroma feature seems to be a foam collar that sits under the body of the fan on the light, you soak this in your choice of perfume and put it back under the fan, which them wafts the scent out as it circulates the air, at least I think this is how it works as the instructions were not clear.The light is something i like, it is quite low level lighting and would be good as a night light in a child’s room.Operating the fan is really simple, plug it in and press one of the buttons on the base for what you want the fan to do, multiple presses change the speed/power until it then switches the feature off. Again the simplicity of this is something i like.I will be using the fan feature and the light, i will not be using the scent or water drop feature ( even though you are given a small, specially sized bottle for dropping in the water) as i am not entirely comfortable with these features, so three stars.

I love this!This is a 1950's looking fan thats also a humidifier and a night light!This has a hole in the top that you use the included bottle to add water too (it doesnt take a full bottle and its not obvious when its nearly full till it runs everywhere!)The fan has a standard USB lead, so you will need a USB plug to plug it in to.The fan bit tilts backwards and forward, the middle bit of the fan can light up and it cycles between different gentle colours (nightlight). The fan isnt the most silent fan ive ever had but its no too noisy, certainly wouldnt keep me awake.The base has three buttons, one to switch the fan on and make it faster, one to switch the humidifier on and one to switch the nightlight on.The humidifier is awesome. To work, the fan needs to be on. Fill the unit with water and switch the fan and humidifier on and wait. It takes a minute or so before you notice anything but suddenly you will see a cloud flowing out of the front of the unit!!! As a scientist this fascinated me. I didnt know what to expect. When i switched it on i put my hand at the front, expecting it to be squirting water like my steam iron!! (it doesnt)The humdifier is particularly welcome in this house as we are all asthmatic and when my chest feels tight humid air makes it feel better. I often use a bowl full of steaming water to make me feel better so this will definitely come in handy. The mist is like a barely visible cloud that flies out of the front.We cant have smells in this house (asthma) but you can use this to diffuse perfume also. Unscrew the white fan cover (twist it approx 1" anticlockwise and pull it forward - not easy, it doesnt pop off). There is a white sponge at the bottom inside and you drop the perfume onto it and put the cover back on.Really fab useful fan, every home needs one! (also love that the name of the company on the box is 'Dingdang' so this is my DingDang fan!)

You can’t really complain about such a cheap fan, but the fact that it has to be plugged into your PC/power bank/ laptop limits the range of its uses.It has an odd collar around the base and I have no idea what that is for. It may be just for protection in transit, and the leaflet doesn’t give any hints. There is also a small hole in the top of the fan with a rubber flap over it. Perhaps this is where you add the water for humidification, but I’m guessing here, as the leaflet is one of those atrocious translations from Chinese. There is a little squeezy bottle with a spout, so you can aim the water better, but I’m erring on the side of caution and not putting any water in. (If you’re willing to risk this, you can add aromatherapy oil to the water to scent the air coming through the fan.The fan blows well; it has a green light that increases in brightness when you press the light button; it is supposed to change colour when you press the button again, but I haven’t succeeded in doing this.It does not oscillate, and you can angle the direction of the air by only about 30 degrees. This isn’t much of a restriction, as because the fan needs to be connected to your PC/laptop it will have to be really close to you.

I plugged mine into the mains using a USB charger, though you can power it using your USB connection on your computer, therefore, this is a very good fan for a small office or even your desk.It lights up as well as keeping you cool, therefore it is a good fan to consider for beside your bed, it does not make a lot of noise, therefore, will not disturb you or other workers near your desk.A good working fan which I am happy to recommend.
