Great, great book!
If I could I would give this book more than 5 stars! It is very well written with LOTS of scripture to support the ideas of the author. I used this book to lead a small book study and we all loved it! The first half of the book talks about private worship..how we spend our week. The last half talks about corporate worship and addresses many "excuses" people give for not singing. But the main point is that singing is not the definition of worship. What you do during the week leads up to corporate worship. This is a great book and I would recommend anybody who is interested in learning about true worship to read this book!

Test yourself to the Word - If God Says it, That settles it...
Based on the Word - with lots of examples to make it practical and easy to assimilate - Rory equips and teaches in a way that it reads like a secular story book - but far from it! I have used his book every sunday morning for the past month thus far, - reading just one page at a time, to teach our congregation what worship should be, from a practical biblical view. Good reports - everybody is excited to learn - finally how each generation and even ethnics, have their own nuances, which can, and should be overcome - it's about God. Not us, We live in a Kingdom, not a democracy - and God deserves our unfiltered, full worship and praises. Of all my worship resources - this is the single most influential product I have laid my eyes on!

Worship on Earth as it is in Heaven
All I can say is this is an Awesome book. Being on a worship team I wish I would have known this author had a book specifically for that before hand because I would have bought that one first. This book is geared more toward any person. (which is fine) I do plan on Buying his other book as well. But this book really opens your eyes on the how, why and who of worship. It makes it very clear what is important and what is not. It can be used as a single devotional or a group work book. Very very strongly suggest any pastor or parishioner read this book.

Great Resource
This book is a great resource for people new to the faith or perhaps been a believer for a while but never took the time to understand worship. This book is not written to an audience of accomplished theologians but to the average lay person in the church. As a music pastor I would recommend this book to revolve a small group around for those who want to learn more about what God expects of us. It's a great read.

Excellent Resource
The book is broken down into two parts: Personal Worship and Corporate Worship. In the first part, the author makes a great case for personal worship, providing examples and scriptures throughout the the life of David. Unfortunately today, I believe many Christians don't take the time for personal worship, and it deeply impacts the level of faith in our lives. I'm still reading the second section of the book, but learning a lot about the way God wants us to worship and using the hints scripture provides about Heaven as a blueprint for how the church should worship. I plan to re-read this book as soon as I finish.

Excellent read!
Rory Noland did an outstanding job with explaining the importance of both private and corporate worship. His clear and simple style of writing is very easy to understand and the information about generational worship and truths explained from the Bible makes this a must read for any Christ follower who wants to get a head start of worshipping God here on earth (the way He deserves) as it will be one day in Heaven!

This helps to get the right attitude
Very biblical view of worship. Highly recommended for every church attendant. I like the multi ethnic, multi generational and multi music style approach.

Worship is more than singing on Sunday
Thinking that this book may be helpful in leading worship on Sunday, I found it much more a practical book on how to truly worship God in all aspects of life. The book is a great read for pastors and worship leaders, but more than that, any Christian will benefit from the principals in this book. Very much worth reading, but applying the principals will grow your relationship with God.
