The product is fine but I ordered this wanting to get a CD with the software on it. Instead it is a box with a paper inside with the key and instructions to download. That seems pretty useless. Had I known that's all you get and I would have to download it I would have just ordered the electronic version at the start.

Disobedient Software & Poor Customer ServiceI have used McAfee software for many years now, and up until this year I have been happy with it.This year, however, they changed the program (which happens with any update on older software, too) to create software so bad I would almost rather have viruses.1. Clicking on the interface's buttons often does nothing at all, and help requests link to dead links.2. Any time that you start running something, most of the time, it ignores you if you try to cancel the action, and keeps running.3. (Worst part here--) Even if you do "cancel" a virus scan, it CONTINUES running the scan without your knowledge or permission, with absolutely no way of stopping it. You cannot stop it with Task Manager, even if you have that option selected from within the options. So, this program ACTUALLY DISOBEYS YOU AND LIES ABOUT IT.4. It makes the decisions about what to trust and what not to, there is NO WAY to tell it you want or trust files or programs. It will quarantine them EVERY TIME and there is no way around it.5. The customer service people at McAfee that I text chatted with were unhelpful, didn't understand the situation, and had very poor grammar. And then they expect me to let them remotely control my computer to "fix" it?They don't even give partial refunds, even though they bait&switched me with this new version a few months after I bought a year's subscription. I'm trying to ride this year out since I've already paid for their scamware, but I don't even know if I can put up with it for that long. For your own sake, please don't waste your money on McAfee.

I recieved the McAfee AntiVirus Plus for Windows XP. It wouldn't install. I contacted McAfee and the product installed was one with was this oneexcept it had a firewall and some other stuff. It seems to work well except the Vulnerability Scanner doesn't seem to work properly. System performance was slow and laggard.It detected an unwanted program on my machine called tool_view or something like that. I had the machine appraised at Computer Hospital onthe Katy Freeway in Houston and Top Tech Experts nearby. Houston Computer Hospital had left a variety of tools on my machine. I removedthem the best I could. Removal of this program returned my system to a normal functioning level.The program vanished after it was quarantined.There was no record of it after removal was done. There are allegations that the code is not working for 10 PCs. I am yet to check as I have tried only 3 PCs at the time of writing. Except for the Windows XP where the antivirus backfired for which I cannot blame the manufacturer, for the rest 2 PCs everything is great right from quick and easy installation. Liked the idea where URLs are generated valid for 2 hours which can be sent to anyone, applied over any PC. This feature is important as I share the code with my friends elsewhere over email/social media.
