PYLE PLW10BL 10-Inch 600 Watt Subwoofer, Red

These are not speakers for someone who is gonna just throw them in and hope they sound good u have to meticulously wire them set them up perfectly and they will outperform most, i have four in a jeep with two 1400 watt amps, u can hear me from about two blocks away, they flex alot when u have a good bass boosting amp and they drown out all the other sounds so i suggest buying a few tweeters with them i have mine on full frequency with 16db bass boost and theyll knock a cup of water sittin on my roof over, get em there cheap and great to play with but like i said it may take you a day or two to have them bumpin...do not be discouraged if they arent blasting the second u hook them up these babies need some tlc before they play for you but once u have em hooked theyll never stop

I purchased a pair of Pyle PLW10BL woofers to replace the stock woofers in my 7.2 surround system. The old speakers were rated at 300W each and the new Pyle speakers are rated at 600W each. Each speaker is powered independently by a pair of Triad power sub amps. I just installed these today and must say that I am rather impressed by the deep bass produced. When I installed the speakers, I used the existing theater mounting frames and simply swapped out the speakers. To my disappointment, the mounting frames are made of plastic and do not seem to handle the deep low frequencies produced by these speakers, so I am now on the hunt for some replacement mounting frames that are sturdier and will hold up to the abuse. Finally, the fit and finish is awesome. The blue cone looks good and the other frame components look sturdy. I would recommend these as a good replacement speaker.

These speakers are complete crap. I figured I would give them a shot mainly because I am a tightwad and didn't want to spend a lot of money on some sub-woofers. I should have just bit the bullet and got a good set because these were a complete waste of what little money the cost and my time. Got the stupid things hooked up and they sounded great for about 5 minutes. After that it quit working completely. At first I figured I had a problem with my amp or maybe pulled a wire loose, but that was not the case. Was very disappointed with these speakers. Adding insult to injury, Pyle will warranty them for a service fee of $20.00. I ONLY PAID $25.00 FOR THEM. Do yourself a favor and just buy some good subs from the get go and save yourself the time. After these turds quit working, I just hooked up an old home theater sub I had and it will work until I can order me a GOOD sub.

used them to replace the speakers on a couple of old peavy pa monitors i use for guitar & bass amplification, driven by a hartke 300 watt head. the replacement fit was perfect, & i finally tested them for sound & volume today. they seem to stand up to the signals & frequencies. obviously i'm not going to blast the volume & blow them out, but i turned the sound up pretty good with cleans, distortion, & low tuned bass. from what i remember, they sound as good as or better than the original speakers, but then again the original speakers were kinda fried. i also appreciate the plastic cones of the pyles; more durable than traditional paper. so far, a good product for the class & price. however, i am beginning to wonder why in some photos the cones are a deep, metallic, ribbed looking material, whereas mine are just flat blue plastic...hmmm....

For it being the price that it is, it is the best subwoofer out there. I don't think you're going to find a better deal on getting great bass sound quality. The highs and the lows sounds fantastic. Good deep rumble in the Lows. If you're looking to get yourself just a cheap system .....this is it

good hitting little sub for the price hit 198 spl at 17 hrts with this ona 10 am radio shack under dash booster

I used this sub in my boat in a ported enclosure, produces quality sound with no distortion.

I like that speaker makes great bass

I bought this to replace a 10 inch sub that had recently failed, it was only £30 and I already had the old enclosure, so why not? I toyed with not bothering to replace it, as I have a 12 inch sub along with a couple of extra 6 inch woofers, I was doing okay. Boy am I glad I chose to replace it. Straight out of the box, the speaker looked really nice, the blue really shimmered in the light, it was lovely. It was no problem at all to swap it into my enclosure, slotted right in and connected it up in a matter of minutes. Now, I expected this speaker to be average or maybe even slightly worse given the relatively cheap price. I was very wrong. I'd been missing that extra punch that I got from my old 10 inch. Very quickly after installing it into the motor, setting the amp up with very little gain whilst I wear in the speaker, I noticed a big different in sound. Even at low volumes this has great punch and a surprisingly wide frequency range, far more like a pa system, so whilst still hitting the lower bass tones, it really kicks the mid range beat at you. It is definitely better than my previous one despite having lower power ratings and being cheaper. Overall, for the money, I don't think I could recommend this highly enough. I've been really impressed by this, and ask anyone who knows me, that's not an easy thing to do. Also, delivery was great, same day delivery (although I ordered it at about 4am), arrived to me before just 9pm, in the car by 10pm, happy days.

Currently it's in an off the shelf box and sounds good, but will be building a box to Pyle's suggested box size of (Height) 11.75", (Width) 16.25", (Depth) 15.25" Maximum External dimensions giving a volume of 32Ltr*
