Blue Power Carbolic Soap -4.4oz

The bar of soap while in its package without being exposed to water smells like sharpies. I didn't mind the smell at all, I quite like it actually lol. It does carry the scent all over the bathroom though. I have to keep it in its package in a drawer when not in use bc my partner doesn't like the smell. I actually love it though! Once the bar of soap touches water, gets sudsy, the scent changes to.. something reminiscent of liquid smoke. I love barbecue so I wasn't complaining. But the most amazing thing happened after rinsing the suds away. The scent that lingered on my body is the most subtle, powdery fresh fragrance. AND I am a bar soap HATER, as a person with habitually dry skin. But this soap left not a trace of sticky itchy film on my body. It rinsed completely clean and left me feeling quite pampered. I did not even need to apply lotion (I didn't want to cover up this lovely clean fresh scent yet!) and there was no irritation left whatsoever. I also feel immaculately clean. The bar produces tons of suds as well. I actually might be in love with this $6 bar of soap.

The best soap EVER. It has a strong smell but fades after rinsing. It truly cleans the whole body! The sent is very strong kinda smells medicinal, keep the bar in a soap container because your bathroom will smell like it. I don’t mind the smell, but some people may not like the smell. I tell you there is not a soap that cleans as well as this!

i personally really like this soap. it makes me feel clean and i think it helps with acne. there isn’t much of a lingering smell on my body after i use it, however the scent of the bar itself is very strong! when i first opened the package and smelled it, it stung my nose and lingered for a while… but i’ve been using it for a while now and the smell doesn’t bother me anymore. i can smell it as soon as i open my bathroom door though, so definitely keep that in mind if you share a bathroom or have guests over. if i had to describe the smell, i’d say the closest comparison is sharpies. it’s a sharp medicine scent that reminds me of cherry flavored cough syrup.

I'm choosing to give this product the two-star review because I bought it for the whole reason that I came across a video on YouTube from this girl's name that they was the soap that it smells so good that Marilyn Monroe use it and every time she walked into her and she can smell like this so now to clarify I was expecting it to smell good and pleasant when I receive this soap it has a very distinct smell such as medical it obviously looks like it's some kind of medicinal soap I did not use it to shower with because the moment I touched it with my bare hands and even you still a little bit of water it left my hands smelling like it for a long time and it's a very strong smell however it is not a beautiful smell it's not pleasant I mean if you are older or you don't mind the smell of meds I think it'll be fine but it is not a smell that a young girl would like to smell like as they're walking down the street. I was going to return it however my mother decided to keep it just because it helps according to her with any rashes or riches in the body so if you are looking for something that helps you maybe with dry skin or itchy skin this might be it but definitely not the soap to leave a nice fragrance on your body

ORIGINAL REVIEW...Unless you love smelling like FORMALDEHYDE...Do not buy this. Everyone in my house is gagging around me. I can't get the smell off of me. DISGUSTING. I want my money back.EDIT...I AM NOW IN L0VE with this soap. Yes everyone took some getting used to the smell but it really kills the funky menopause armpit smell. I could only mask the smell, this gets rid of it. I really am not offended by smelling like I just dissected a fetal pig in biology either. It's more of a "chloroseptic meets musky beach-fire pit". I ferl so clean that I'm now taking 2-3 showers a day because I love how my sensitive skin feels 😀 It gets up too 115° where I live in the summer so I'm thrilled to find this now.Now my major problem is i bought 1 soap & then went to buy the 30 pack & they keep sending me ONLY ONE INSTEAD OF 30...and as I'm reading I'm not the only one. I'm wondering when the Department of Weights & Measures us going to get involved here because you can't just keep robbing people like that. DO NOT ORDER THE 30 pack...you will be paying $28 for 1 bar of soap.

Been using this soap for over a year and I am so happy with it.I don't use it everyday but more like 3-4 times a week. It cuts the grease and oils of my skin without stripping my skin barrier.Really helps keep my acne at bay, and I especially enjoy it on my feet when they get a little itchy fron sweating.I highly recommend this.The scent is a little intense but I've gotten used to it and actually quite like it now.

Takes me back to childhood.Not sure if there's real carbolic acid in this, but it smells like I remember as a child, feels like I remember, and sticks to the sink like I remember.This soap takes me back to Good Times, leaves me feeling clean and warm - with that super-clean classic scent you can't find anywhere else.
