Ok, nothing drives me more crazy than filtering through comments from paid reviewers on Amazon or comments made by people who have received the item for free (usually take them with a grain of salt), so I felt as though I needed to add my input. I love these things and I am about to order 2 more sets. I added them to branches and hung them over my daughter's bed. It has provided a nice, mellow environment and allows her to turn them off with the remote when she is ready for bed. They seem sturdy and put off a nice warm yellow glow. I really, really love them...and I didn't have to get paid or get this for free for this positive review! You are welcome.

Put this inside a haunted house cake to make the windows flicker (wrapped in a sandwich bag). It worked beautifully!!! The first time we turned it on, the battery pack got wicked hot. I was ready to send it back because, at least for my purposes, it would completely ruin my cake... I gave it a rest, then turned it back on - no problems at all. Not sure what the deal was, just an FYI to check after a few minutes on first use. It was so hot, it definitely would have burned you if you touched it for more than a second...We ran it a few more times and never had an overheating issue. I had it running inside a cake for 4 hours and it didn't even get warm (thank God, I had no backup plan for this!!!). The remote worked very well also, even from inside the cake! We kept it on the "flickering" setting and it was perfect!The strands are wicked thin. This was great for me, because I really didn't care it if got tangled (which it did, rather easily), but if you had to untangle it I imagine it would be quite frustrating... so keep it neat & tidy :)Overall, very very happy with this!!

I love these lights! They are so pretty, like little fireflies! I wanted to put some recessed lighting behind a soffit in my bathroom but did not want to spend a lot as I will be moving soon. I found these and realized it was the perfect solution. I bought some Command Velcro and Command Mini Hooks (I love those products as well), and used a bit of white electrical tape to get them hung up. No one can see the battery box which I mounted to the wall with the Velcro, and the hooks keep the light strand firmly in place. The big bonus to these fabulous lights is the remote! I have them up on the top of a ten foot wall, so without the remote, the project would not have been viable. Now when I have guests over my bathroom is not pitch black, it is like a nice night light in there, guiding them into the room and allowing them to find the light fixture with ease. It gives the room a welcoming glow. I am very happy with the purchase and will absolutely buy more for other projects down the road. I have found that the battery life is very good, I have kept them for at least forty hours and the first set of batteries (AA) are still going strong. My only challenge hanging them was fact that the feline contingent in my home were fascinated with these delicate little strands. If you have cats, make sure you have a friend over to distract them so you can hang them in peace! Enjoy!

I purchased these string lights to thread through a wreath for Christmas. I hung the wreath over my mantel.The thin wire and tiny LED lights were perfect for wrapping in and around my yarn ball wreath. They took some tugging and wrestling without breaking. Because I was hanging the wreath up high, the remote was perfect. Not having to climb up and take the wreath down every time I wanted to turn the lights on or off was a huge bonus. The different light modes were really great too! I could make the wreath twinkle, or just stay lit.The battery pack was easily hidden in the wreath, and the batteries did not need to be changed even after more than a month of pretty regular use.I absolutely plan to buy more of these!

When we first bought these LED lights, I must admit that I was relatively skeptical on the quality. They were inexpensive, plenty of lights, battery powered, and remote controlled - everything we were looking for. Honestly, it seemed too good to be true. But once I received them I opened them up and put the batteries in and they lit up beautifully. Not a single light was out. Brightness was controllable, all functions worked exactly as advertised, these are exactly what we were after!I may end up buying some more and finding projects to use them on because they are that great. I think the best feature is the remote. We have ours in a shadow-box coffee table to light up the contents. It is set up like under cabinet lighting, but you cannot see these lights themselves. It looks great and adds a phenomenal ambiance to the room because these are warm white in color.I would definitely recommend anyone to buy these. In fact, do not just buy one, you might as well buy several on your first purchase. I have read some reviews of some peoples lights not working well - of course there will be a few outliers but the one I got works great.

Quality:Very Nice! Waterproof As well.Comes with remote which is handy.LEDs:Bright but not in your face bright. Which I like.Also has 3 brightness levels.No LEDs were broken or anything.Mod:I modified this to be powered by USB instead of batteries.Very simple. Cut any USB cord. Place the red wire to the positive (the spring in the battery thing)and the black on the negative (flat part of the battery part).And there you go, No need to change batteries every 2-4 days.(Works with power outlet too, but make sure the voltage is 5.1V.Overall:I used this to place into empty glass vase for a lamp.I would recommend this! & will be buying more soon.

I quite like this LED light string. The lights have a great warm colour and the wire is thin and flexible which makes it great for specific positioning. I find there are only a couple of good light modes/patterns that I actually use, but it's nice that lots of options are included. Mine arrived well-packaged and next-day thanks to Amazon Prime. I would recommend this light string to anyone who is looking for battery-operated LEDs!

Bought it on sale to fill a lantern I was gifted for Christmas. The remote cannot reach through the metal but easily reaches through the glass. It easily expanded to fill the space, and the many options for different blinking styles, brightness, and even the timer mode is a surprising amount when I was mostly looking for 'lights up and doesn't need a plug'.

Not bright enough and lights are to spread apart and small. I would like to return.

It's ok :) it came as it is shown. Wish it just wasn't battery powered but on the bright side it's awesome that it came with a remote with battery in it :) it's also very bright when clumped.
