5+ years later, still going strong and reliable
Honestly, I have no complaints. Got this in 2021 and this HDD has been running with zero issues, and working very reliably. I'm using this on my Ubiquiti UDMPro for surveillance using the Protect and no complaints here.

Long running and easy to use
Still working. After we had to replace the original hard. This has lasted longer and I don't have any trouble with it. It was easy to install and started up instantly after turning it on.

Great hard drive
Easy hookup, you can do it yourself, very quiet, cant hear it at all, enough memory for over 3 months for 10 security cameras, the other one that came with dvr only lasted a year so get insurance for your dvr

Very easy
The drive was easy to install. Formatting the drive using oossxx surveillance system was a breeze.

It works
The drive came boxed and protected very well, and it was sealed in an anti- static bag. At first the NVR would not read the drive, so, while there was power to the system, I unplugged the hard drive power and data and plugged them back in,and immediately got a message that the drive is not formatted on the monitor screen. After having formatted the drive, it is working great and it is not just quiet it is silent. I am well pleased so far.

Working as expected
It's a hard drive. I installed this in my Lorex NVR, it was recognized immediately,& is storing surveillance video. It's working, not much more to say

Been using 24/7 for almost 3 years
I wanted to wait a few years before writing this to ensure that it was a meaningful and useful review. I use this drive in a Ubiquiti Dream Machine Pro SE with 7 cameras and counting. As others have stated, if the drive doesn't work for you then you have made a mistake in formatting or doing your reasearch. Learn what the manufacturer of your NVR requires and purchase accordingly. That said, for those of you on the site who are tech savy and do your homework, you may find the following a bit insightful.I think Ubiquiti pushed out a firmware or OS update earlier this year which provided the following notice on the storage page:"Please verify that your HDD is a CMR drive by checking the device’s spec sheet or the manufacturer website. See compatible models here." When you visit the linked page it tells you that the General Requirements are to use a CMR drive with 7200RPM read/write speeds.Well this drive is 5400RPM but I have experienced "0" issues. The site also recommends that you use their HDD's but they are much more expensive and I trust Seagate which is a leader in the storage space. So the takeaway is that just because a manfucaturer recommends something doesn't mean you have to use it.Buy with confidence and I trust this brand for all of my storage needs.

Great Surveillance Hard Drive
My Hard Drive went out on my Hik-Vision DVR (16 Cameras running 24 hours), it originally came with WD 6tb, but this Seagate was much cheaper with the same specs...It gave me few more days of recording then the original WD..I'm currently able to record 20 days of footage @ 3 megaPixel per Cam. NOT 4!!. Its as quite as the WD hard drive. Hope it lasts as long as WD.. There is no reason it shouldn't. I've utilized Seagate drives in the past and they are great for the price and reliability.
