Dana English Leather Cologne for Men 8 Oz

I grew up in the sixties and finished high school in ‘67. The cologne of that time was English Leather. If a man wore it, you knew it immediately! I thought the fragrance was devine. It still is, but for some reason, men don’t wear it anymore. Bought some for my son and he said he’d wear when he was with me-to placate me. I never smell fragrance on men anymore, but I always knew when men wore English Leather. It’s a subtle fragrance, but one you remember.

I used to wear English Leather Mens Cologne back in the 60’s and 70’s. My wife and I were talking about it and I wondered if it was still available. Sure enough it was. I ordered it and it’s the classic smell but the color in the bottle is a little red vs what I remember as an Apple juice color. The scent is stronger as well so don’t use much. I’d say it’s close to what I remember. Love that all wood bottle cap and the classic square bottle. I’m good on my purchase, very fast delivery and pac was excellent. Try English Leather for a fun change of pace.

The best old fashion cologne on the market I've worn this for many years my older brothers introduced me to it in the late 60's and it's always a go to if I can't decide. Love it.

The very real truth about this cologne is that I bought this Cologne for the past memories and I remember the color of the liquid more like the color of medium-light whiskey. The cologne that I have received from Amazon has more of a pink-tan color to it. The smell of the cologne smells slightly different from what I remember from the 70's and 80's. I remember it being more woodsy and citrus that even your sweat smelled manly and sexy. The old English cologne that I have received has almost a honey kind of scent to it. This makes me wonder if the quality of the ingredients that is used to make this cologne has changed by using different venders to obtain the ingredients to make this fragrance. I work in a hospital and all the staff told me that I smelled like an old man. I'm 50 years young. That disappointed me. However if you like Old English then a better modern option is Cognac Haze cologne pour homme. Cognac Haze reminds me a lot of Old English and was the reason why I bought it again. I now use English leather with Cognac Haze together to give the English Leather a modern touch for today's world.

When we received the bottle the cap was loose and quite a bit has spilled out. It was disappointing. My husband has been using English leather forever. He is now 80.
