Plantronics 200739-01 M70 Bluetooth Headset - Retail Packaging - Black

This is my FIFTH time buying the Plantronics M70 Bluetooth headset.I wear these headsets while walking outside for six hours everyday in the hot and cold, wet and dry. One has been lost, and the rest have been washed, rained and sweated soaked, jammed in pockets with coins, lint, and melted breath mints. The last one still works but the volume up button has become too difficult so it is now a backup headset. They last a long time even with my abuse and the price is right on.BATTERY LIFE is very good. A full charge says it has 11 hours of talk time. I get 6 hours of battery life while continuously playing podcasts at nearly full volume. Re-charging if fast too.VOLUME LEVEL is perfect and easy too adjust. The only time I have difficulty hearing is when walking along a busy street as a heavy truck goes by.BLUETOOTH CONNECTIVITY works well connecting to my Android phone. The range seems to be around the thirty feet mark and reconnects quickly when back withing range. Walking under certain power lines does seem to temporarily wipe out the connection when I'm near them.The headset can be used in either the right or left ear by switching the ear loop over. The ear loop is not absolutey needed. The gel part that goes into the ear fits well and should be enough to hold if you're not being too active.Haven't tried other headsets so I can't make a comparisons. I will keep buying these and they should last you much longer than they last me.

I have been using the Plantronics M70 with my various iPhones for about 4 years now.I use it to send and receive calls and texts, and to listen to music and podcasts in various apps, during my busy day.It has decidedly better sound quality, functionality and durability than any other similar product I have tried, and I include other, more expensive Plantronics Bluetooth dongles in that statement too!The battery life is a true 11 hours, and to-date, I have never run out of battery during a long day even, and if I did, the fact that it takes, I’d say, less than half an hour to charge up to full, is a bonus.The sound quality is stupendous for the price. The buttons are well-positioned, easy to use, and this unit interfaces with the iPhone (I’ve used it with 6 plus through 8 plus) better than any other, and easily switches back and forth between itself and other Bluetooth devices I use. Pairing is simple too.It is also comfortable. I have small ears, and the silicone ear insert holds it comfortably in my ear, without having to use the included over-ear bracket as well.The only negative with this device, which would be true with any similar device, is that I’m good at losing it or accidentally running it through the laundry because of its small size!Even so, this unit takes a beating, and it takes several times through before it gives up and quits working, so it is pretty durable and somewhat water resistant too!I have tried several other Bluetooth devices, but have always come back to this one. The sound quality, comfort, and durability are the best I’ve found, especially for the price!Highly recommend, if you use an iPhone.

Ah, Plantronics, why did I ever leave you?After forgetting my earpiece in my jeans and washing it once too often, I waded through Amazon looking for a new bluetooth piece. I can't say why I went from what works, but I chose a different brand for a few bucks less.I'm back, now, and pleased as usual with Plantronics seamless and sound (pun intended) performance.The M70 is a worthy addition to their line. Economical, sleek and top performance marks make this an easy decision.The interaction with Siri (yes, iPhone user, but not haughty) is perfect and works without the pause my "other" purchase occasionally had. The sound volume and quality are crisp and expressive.The controls are easy and flexible, a point that often gets too little attention. In my "other" purchase, I had to struggle to get the on/off selector to move from one to the other, leaving me at risk of missing calls. With the M70 (as with past Plantronics) the on/off is a smooth-clicking switch that takes little pressure from your finger to move it.Effective, stylish, lightweight, easy to use and great sound. It's a terrific bluetooth earpiece and it's Plantronics. Why did I ever leave?
