Japanese Samurai Katana Sword Maintenance Cleaning Kit

Great Product.

I thought this kit was overall good. The only problem I found was the oil container lid came off. The bottle was sealed but some oil still leaked out. It was not enough to ruin the box or its contents so I was ok with it. Overall I would buy another if needed.

I purchased a Shinwa sword and needed the care kit and this one is perfect!!

Love this Maintenance Cleaning Kit. Great Job on this one. Will order again when this runs out. I highly reconmend this!

A few oddities to point out. 1. Choji oil/clove oil, which is what you typically get with sword cleaning kits, is colorless. The oil that comes with this kit is yellow/light orange, same color as vegetable oil. No idea what it's made from. 2. The plastic little jar that holds oil paper/cloth, which you typically get with kits like these, is shown in the picture but not in the actual kit, nor was it mentioned in description. 3. It does come with 2 bamboo peg (mekugi) This is a relatively cheap cleaning kit and the quality shows.

What we were looking for

This is a good entry level kit for sword cleaning. I got it to clean some cosplay swords I own (so they're not really high maintenance). It works, but the quality is not the best. If you want something affordable then go for it. But if you want something that is of good quality then I wouldn't recommend it. For instance, the wooden box it comes in (which was very exciting when I first got it) broke really easily after only a few months.

I decided to order a cheaper kit since they all seem to be the same on amazon anyways, and it came with oil everywhere half the oil was gone, in fact the oil looks terrible and yellow. The cloth looks like a once time use imo, but the thing that was annoying was there were no pegs!
