ok item.
easy to wind up to charge but light seems bright only while actually winding. once winding stops, light fade is immediate and notable, tho it does hold the dimmer beam ok. lightweight is nice, glow around on/off button is nice for locating the button with gloves on. good to have a flashlight that doesn't demand batteries, but would be better if the beam could maintain the brightness once winding ceases.

Good night light for kids.
Got this as a night light / reading light for my kids. They love it. It is great because if they forget to turn it off, they just have to crank it up for it to come back on, no more burning through batteries. Would not use as a main flash light as it is dim, but would be fine for an in-house light if the power goes out.

I returned the ones that did not work and kept the other two because it's better than nothing in a pinch
I ordered several of these to keep around the house and in my trunk. Only 2 of them worked. All the rest would NOT hold a charge regardless of how long I cranked the handle (the spotlight immediately went dark if the handle was not being cranked). I returned the ones that did not work and kept the other two because it's better than nothing in a pinch. I am still not completely satisfied with the two I kept however since they still begin to fade as soon as you stop cranking.

The charge doesn't last as long as I'd hoped (may be that I didn't read the description closely enough). It pretty much requires the user to continuously crank to get light. The beam is fairly powerful though!

Works like says it does
Works like says it does. Not terribly bright, but my son enjoys it. It tells you that the charging cable isn't included, but what it doesn't tell you is that the USB cable isn't the now common "mini usb" that is flatter and wider, but the other one that is narrower and fatter. Fortunately, I have a digital camera and an mp3 player that use the same kind of cord that my son was able to use. So bear that in mind when purchasing.

it doesn't store a charge like it says
Total junk, it doesn't store a charge like it says, even tried the USB overnight a nothing. have to constantly crank it or it's dead. This is one of those junky foreign things that look great in the pic but is total crap.

A workout
seems a little flimsy. really takes some cranking to get it bright. Easier to use the charging port.
