This teapot is all glass and it's quite a bit lighter and more delicate than my previous ceramic teapot. I definitely feel like I need to be careful with it, but so far no issues. It has a stainless steel mesh insert which provides a lot of surface area for the loose tea. It has a wide mouth, and a lip rather than a curved spout like most teapots, so it's really easy to clean. It's a nice looking teapot and would make a good gift. Two quibbles: 1) the 450 ml capacity is only about enough tea for a cup and a half, 2) the mesh insert nestles under the rim of the teapot, so when it's time to remove it, you really have no choice but to pull it out with your fingers, and sometimes it's pretty hot. Even with a few quibbles, I'm really happy with it!

This teapot shape, capacity and design makes it great for all types of yea. I is unique in that it is all glass and metal, NO PLASTIC. This means safer brewing but also no to minimal taste trasfer (ghosting) as you switch (and clean)between tea types! Seller got item to me from japan ahead of schedule!

It’s a great one or 2 person teapot. The improved glass lip on the front/top makes it difficult/awkward to maneuver the basket and lid into proper position. The older/unimproved model was easier to use. It’s a minor inconvenience. As Mark Twain said, “all the modern inconveniences”. It’s fine as is. I’d buy it again and I’d give it as a gift.

I read about this product in a article about lovely holiday gifts. While the packing box was rather ordinary, the tea pot is beautiful. The glass pot is strong but lightweight a beautiful way to serve loose tea. It makes a thoughtful gift.

I can only make not even 1/2 cup of tea to fill my mug. Really was hoping to make at least full mug of tea. Nice product as long as you just want 4 sips of tea. I enjoy a mug of tea for breakfast.

I keep one of this teapot at home, and another at my desk in the office. Such handy, lovely teapots that add flavors to my daily life. Love it!

I thought this is supposed to be high quality Japanese glass but this is the second time now that this teapot has cracked spontaneously on me! I always hand wash this and it did not get bumped by anything. It just suddenly cracked one day…

Make great hot or cold brew tea.
