Great saw! I will say this right off
Great saw! I will say this right off..."MAKE SURE YOU READ THE MANUAL AND FOLLOW THE SETUP INSTRUCTIONS". I am a manual reader. I read manuals for everything. I want to know the features and proper usage of anything that I buy. It saves me hours of headaches later. I proceeded to devour the manual and then set up everything accordingly and it worked wonderfully! Cuts are perfectly square and the size they should be. This may sound obvious, but things do get knocked out of square during shipping, etc. I want to know that if I set up a 45 degree angle cut and mate it to another board cut to 45, that it is going to be a perfect 90. I want to know that if I set the gate to rip a board to 2 inches that it is going to truly be 2 inches.....you get the point. It comes with a general purpose blade that is good for ripping boards and plywood. I will most likely be purchasing a finer tooth blade for cutting finer material. Finding dado blades for this saw seem to be a little challenging, but they ARE out there, and the manual does offer a part number for assuring that you get the proper blade. I am not a contractor/builder that uses this everyday so it is wonderful for the price. This thing is well built and should last me a lifetime. I really like how easy it is to put on and take off the stand. The stand is sturdy and folds easily. It comes with a "push tool" for assuring that your fingers remain on your hands during your projects. It is light enough to transport easily if necessary. The only complaint that I have is that the darn Styrofoam block they put underneath the table near the motor to protect it during shipping is nearly impossible to remove (if there is a trick to it, THAT is NOT in the manual). You'll see what I mean! ...... Anyway, get off your wallet and quit reading reviews and just buy the saw already. (ProTip -- don't let anyone know how much you really enjoy using this, or your going to have "todo" list a mile long!

Well Made, Good Power, Great Deal for Your Money
I've been getting more and more into woodworking over the last couple of years, and a table saw has been on my list to help with some fun project ideas I have. After a good bit of research, I settled on to the Skil 3410. It was easy setup, the deck is rock-solid, and it has plenty of power for the casual user. The blade gives good clean cuts so far and the accouterments all seem to work well. It is 'mobile' and I only put that in quotes because it definitely has some gravity to it, so I don't know that people of smaller stature or larger age would be able to move it easily. Overall great saw, great deal, and I would highly recommend.

Great entry model table saw
This is my first table saw and it works perfectly for me at this stage. It's a good price, the fence works well enough and this saw generally gets the job done. The safety features, namely the riving knife, the anti-kickback and the plastic blade guards are AWESOME. This is apparently (from research) some of the most robust offerings of safety features on a table saw. I'm very glad for them and use them as much as possible. Some complaints about the saw though: -My fence broke after less than 6 months. It still works but I was less than impressed with this development -The fence does not always lock in a completely parallel orientation to the saw blade. There is some wobble to it that can sometimes lead to the wood slightly binding to the blade. I've never noticed a huge effect on final measurements, but the work that I'm doing is not ultra precise. -The rail guides are "T" shaped with the fatter part at the bottom. It turns out you cannot buy any third party accessories that fit this geometry. In searching the interweb, it seems most people who own this saw just chop the "T" part out (with a dremel) to leave a normal box shaped rail channel. I have yet to do this, but I want to make a cross-cut sled soon and will likely have to go down this road. -The included miter gauge piece fits in the t-channel very loosely -The maximum fence to blade distance is about 24"

Great little saw.
Pleasantly surprised by this little saw. The only downsides I notice are: the blade height adjustment wheel doesn’t lock so it will lower itself. I just ran a bungee cord around the knob to hold it from turning. The table surface has a coating that looks great but adds friction, so makes pushing small stock kinda difficult. Like everything else about it. Better value, features and easier to use than some of the more expensive brands. I like the outfeed support and the other features.

Great Saw for Homeowner
Great little saw for the homeowner. Some of these saws are really expensive and are built for job sites. This one doesn't have the ruggedness of the ones that are meant to fall out the back of your pickup truck and be OK. But I don't think that's what they were going for when they designed this, and that's not what I was looking for. What I wanted was a foldable alternative to a freestanding table saw, as I have limited space. This delivers exactly that, and with lots of nice features, at a great price. What I love: --Lots of table top space --Good quality construction. Like I said, not built for falling out the back of a truck, but not flimsy either. Plenty rugged for homeowner use. --Safety - has all the guards that old 1960's saw did not --Fence - quick & easy to reposition, and has an accurate position gauge --Space - legs fold up, and saw fits up on a shelf. I don't have a dedicated shop - I use my garage, so easy storage is a must. That was my biggest selling point on this saw. --Power - plenty --Setup - easy. Fold out legs, set saw on top, fasten clamps, plug in. 1 minute to set up. What it lacks: --NASCAR quality roll cage that some of the job site saws have. I don't care about that. I'm nice to my tools. But - if you dropped this from a height, it's probably not going to react well. Overall I love this saw. If you're looking for a homeowner grade saw, I think you will too, and for half or less than some of the other saws out there.

Great Little Saw!
This little saw is fantastic for the garage woodworker. Lightweight plastic housing is surprisingly sturdy. I checked the squareness of blade to table and it was accurate enough so I didn’t bother squaring it - used it right out of the box. Powerful little motor on it. For a small saw it is great, and price was right. Very pleased!

Good budget saw
The short version is; this saw is cheap, light, good motor, terrible miter bar and miter tracks (non standard size and shape), and mediocre fence. It accepts dado blades, and is pretty accurate out of the box. The longer version; I like this table saw for the cost. I chose this saw because it can accept a dado stack and it was much cheaper than other saws with that ability. I would not repurchase if I could do it over. It has some issues I would like to warn others about. The miter tracks are not standard size tracks, they are smaller with slots and tabs in them. I cut the ones on my table out with a dremel and sanded them wider, but still had to make a custom size miter bar for it. The miter gauge that comes with it is garbage even for this price. The fence is ok, I will be making a custom fence to replace it. The table top has a textured powder coat on it that I sanded off with a random orbit sander. The cast aluminum underneath is good and solid. I took about 4 hours to tune up all the alignments on the saw to within 0.005" using a micrometer, but the out of box setup was pretty close, only minor adjustments were made. I will upgrading to a cabinet style saw once I get the shop built.

Good, basic, cheap saw... You get what you pay for!
I was looking for a table saw to use to build some cabinets and things around the house. I've been using it for a while and all is well. I live in Houston, so I am happy the deck is aluminum! It was very easy to assemble and is working perfectly. The saw is what it is, it's small, light and easy to move around. The deck is not very big so I have been using my track saw to cut pieces down before final cuts on the table. The blade that came with is is ok, but does not make cuts as clean as they need to be for what I wanted - purchased new finish blade and problem solved. There is no dust collection system, so you will need to rig up something if you want to use it inside. Out of the box the blade was spot on 90 degrees and adjustments are easy and quick. This is not a contractor grade saw but it is working fine for what I am doing. Bring your ear plugs, it's quite loud. The slots in the top for accessories is not standard width and will not accommodate normal miter gauges, feather boards... I clamped my feather board down but this is difficult to get it adjusted properly. The blade does have a little play so threre will be no "perfect" cuts.

Excellent option for an excellent price
if you're just getting started at woodworking, this is the perfect saw for you. Look no further! It's cheap, it's powerful and it has many feetures you will only find on higher end table saws... PROS: 1 light weight. Can easily be moved around a shop or to a worksite. 2 wide work surface. The side extends out giving you more room for cross cuts. There is also an extendable outfeed. 3 power. It's a very powerful machine and will cut through anything you throw at it. Provided you install a good blade in it. ( Freud Diablo works great) 4 the arbor is a standard 5/8 and also made wide enough to install a dado stack. CONS: 1 plastic base is a little flimsy. And you don't want to mistreat anything that might break. 2 miter gauge is crap. It moves around a lot and you will need to calibrate it anything you want to change the angle. 3 miter slots have little tabs. This means buying after market miter gigs or any sleds will be a waste of money because they won't fit. ( easy fix! I cut them off flush with the channel with a dremil and cutting disk. Now I can use all the gigs and sleds I want)

Great Saw For The Money
No a contractor, just a home user. This saw is great value for the money, quality and ruggedness are as good of better than a lot of much higher price saws. All required accessories, and they store nicely on the housing when not in use. Rally like this say, highly recommend.

Buen equipo.
En términos generales es un buen equipo. Ligera, fácil de mover de un lugar a otro. La guía de transversal es muy mala. Lo mejor seria comprar una de mejor calidad o hacer guías, según cada caso.

Great value
I found it to be a great value for the money, I think it’s a great touch that this particular brand included a stand. Very happy with this purchase.

Ok
I rite my review considering the price of the tool . It Is a Nice and accurate saw ,light enought To carry around but not as much as some more expensive modèle. Thé only thing that bugg's me a lot Is the big bang start when you turn the switch at on ,it Is scary and make me wonder on long terme, what kind of damage it Is going To créateurs. For me a presision tool should no start that way
