Works exactly like it says it will.
I used this product on travertine around my pool. It is easy to apply and works great. It slightly deepened the color of the tiles so if you're looking to drastically change the color, this won't do that. Yes, it's expensive but the water now runs right off my tile and I don't have to worry as much about spilling things that may stain. Now that Iโve used this product on two different pool surrounds I should update my review. First, Iโm in Arizona. Most of the summer itโs over 100 degrees every day. Not the best conditions for a stone sealer. To be honest, after two years it needs to be recoated. It loses some of its water repellancy and loses most of its enhancing properties. That said, itโs still the best thing Iโve used for my situations. I tried water based products on other surrounds and their life is about a year or less. So, this product is much better. The other thing that I canโt stress enough is that this product doesnโt overly darken your stone. Yes, it does enhance but some of the reviews Iโve read on here seem to indicate that people expect their stone to greatly darken. DONT buy this product if youโre expecting the stone to darken several shades. Good product. One more update. Itโs now been on for nearly two years on my newer pool. Iโm probably going to have to recoat. Arizona heat is tough on everything outside so I guess itโs understandable. One more thing, Iโve seen other reviews and want to make sure everyone understands that this product is NOT a water based product. It takes more time for it to completely dry. Depending on the humidity, it could take 48 hours or more to completely dry. If you walk on it prior, obviously youโll leave a footprint. Also, it soaks in differently on the tile depending on how porous it is. Mine is travertine and there are some areas in the tiles where itโs more porous than other areas in the same tile. You will need to make sure youโre putting enough product on.

The best sealant to bring out aones rich undertones
This stone enhancer works great on natural tile, stone, travertine, etc. I use it on travertine arounds my pool and naural stone in the bar of my waterfall. It soaks into the stone and if you get too much on will glob up so use a rag to wipe when wet immediately and then keep checking and do small areas you can reach. I start off with a rag and a pan and trim around the edges and bull nose being careful not to get it in the pool. Then I used a roller to finish the job being carefil not to put on too heavy. I added sand to prevent the kids from slipping since travertine os a bit slick. Make sure you mix well every time you add more sealant to the pan. This product does amazing thinks with the color, bringing out all kinds of secret colors and highlights. The smooth parts of the stone are a bit shiny and the color rich. My neighbors used a cheaper sealant and regretted it as soon as they say our lanai. It is definitely worth the price. The only problem I see is that we are reseal in every year, this is the third year. I was hoping to get 2 years out of it. I would definite recommend this product for anyone looking for quality. Even though the product is expensive if you do it yourself it is cheaper than paying someone else to use a cheaper product.

Expensive But Quality Product - Two Coats Recommended
Expensive but it enhances the color nicely. It covered about 400 sq feet but I feel it would benefit from a second coat to really bring out the best in the stone. If you are looking for the wet look, this is not the product. It goes on very smoothly. I cannot attest to its protection capabilities as I just put it down recently.

New formula
The new water based formula is not nearly as good as the old solvent formula. I will be looking for something different in the future

really changed the appearance and feel of flagstone around our pool
used this for the flagstone around my pool that had turned chalky white and the stone was starting to crumble a little. I felt like the stone was starting to erode away, and just looked very dull. started researching an item that would both enhance the color and seal it. Mind you, I had never sealed the stone before, I didn't even know I would need to do this. This was my project (not my husband's), and being a female who doesn't do these sort of home projects often, I found it relatively easy. you do need to be careful and not drip the product on the concrete as you will notice it later. I just used a brush and slathered it on, trying to be neat. the directions say to go back a short time later and wipe up the 'excess' with a cloth...I guess flagstone is very porous because there was no excess for me to really wipe us. I attached a before and after pic, and even my husband was really impressed and glad I decided to fork out the money to do this. it took an entire evening, but got it done just fine. only did one coat, may go back with another later in the year. the water now 'beads up' when the water splashes on it. EDIT: a few months after we used this, we noticed the liner on our pool had seriously faded in spots near where we had used this. I was gutted to see this! So sadly I will never use this again as, if it falls into the pool, I truly believe it will fade away the liner.

Works for me
This product essentially performed as advertised in application. I did a flagstone deck here in Central Texas that is about 330 sq. ft. eschewing a non-functioning garden sprayer and brushing the product on in small (4' x 4') segments. The enhancer quality of the product has really brought out the subtleties and character in the stone. A rainfall a week after application showed the products ability to repel liquids like a newly waxed car finished. The only other aspect of the product, longevity, will not be known until much later, but I am pleased with Stonetech at this point.

Perfect Slate
-SLATE- This was a great product would use again and again on slate. I applied with a paint brush 2 seperate heavy coats and let eat coat sit for 20-30min (do not let coats get dry on the slate, keep wiping slate with brush to keep wet, if you have to large of an area you may want to do in sections) then wipe clean with dry clean cloth/s, I waited about 30mins between the 2 coats. 24hrs later it will look like all the colors in the slate come out dark and rich with a wet look with out the glossy appearance. Hope this helps. & Many Happy Sealings.....

BUYER BEWARE: Manufacture denied request for written guarantee due to product failure
Total product failure with text book application technique. StoneTech Professional Rich Color Enhancer Pro Sealer turned my Natural flagstone pool coping milky white. I was refused by the manufacture representative to honor the written product guarantee that reads โIf not satisfied with product performance when used specifically as directed, return product to point of purchase for refund or replacement, or contact DuPont StoneTech professional at 1-888-786-6343.โ When presented photos and request for technical support Laticrete (who bought out DuPont StoneTech) employee Jennifer Aleman hypothesized potential explanations for product failure and provided ways to remove the silicone/siloxane but reinforced that there are no guarantees of the products performance due to its two year half life. I further communicated to Jennifer that the product had no expiration date nor product shelf life listed on the label or in the description when purchased. I explained that the product was stored indoors in its original sealed container as our Pool Coping was restored. I asked her to research for a bad batch as there are others who appeared to have similar results as myself. I asked to take advantage of my product guarantee and have my $194.93 purchase price refunded. I have yet to hear back from Jennifer Aleman or Laticrete.
