Fill in the Blank: An Inspirational Sketchbook

My daughter asked for this after we saw it in the store. It wasn't until I actually had a chance to flip through it before giving it to her that I discovered just how cool the book actually is.There are about 200 pages in this book that you can fill in the blanks with your personal drawings. And it's big enough (approx. 10x12) to give you the room you need to work without running out of space. The paper is good quality art paper, but be warned: SHARPIES BLEED! so you will have to use no-bleed markers. None of the pages are blank. Each page provides a template to spark the idea and from there, your imagination is free to run wild. And the templates are really creative, too. Bought this for my dad, who was always a big doodler. As you can see by the cover, the book has images with blank spaces for you to complete the visual story. What are the people looking at? What delicious dessert is on the plate? You decide by drawing it in. My father is suffering from anxiety since being diagnosed with Parkinson's and this helps him escape for a little while. He said he really enjoys it and it allows him to be a little creative. So, I give this book five stars because it is enjoyable, but also because it is somewhat theraputic. Recommended.

Bought this for my girlfriend. She's an artist and loves to color but I wanted to get her something that would kind of force her to use her artistic talent and maybe find a niche for her designs. I originally found this in a brick and mortar store then looked it up here and saw some pages I didn't see in the store. She loves it.My favorite is the wind bottle page and her's is the baby page (which is a bit creepy but really kind of funny in a Mike Giant photo way).

I buy a lot of doodle books, for myself and my kids. And I teach art at an elementary schools. This is one of the best ones I've ever found. Lots of variety, lots of space, and not stupid.

Bought two copies. Bought from a third party vendor as used-like new so the covers had a couple of indentations. The pages are full of creative ways to color and doodle. Many hours will be spent using this book!

bought this for a gift after seeing it in a bookstore. very creative and fun book, i'm sure many people would love it.

I bought this as a gift, my girlfriend is really into art. every once in a while she will have "drawers block" this book really helps her come up with something new. She loves it too!

J'enseigne les arts plastiques au primaire et je trouve ce livre très inspirant! J'ai trouvé de nombreuses idées de projets seulement en le feuilletant. De plus, c'est un outil très utile autant comme exercice d'amorce ou encore d'enrichissement. Dommage qu'il ne soit pas relié de façon à faciliter les photocopies...
